can someone reccomend something taking into consideration the minimum req. of Wow something that would play the game, nothing special ..just no lagging.
Thanks..
Its all in the memory... Go with 2GB RAM or higher- whatever you buy. If you can afford 3-4 GB of RAM with today's standard graphics cards and CPU's, you'' be all set

Re: What do you play WoW on?

I play on a 3.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM and it works just fine for me (Shattrath cuts my FPS to 16-18 though), mostly around 50-60 FPS (full window).

Re: What do you play WoW on?

i built my own having found no real company that i really like

performance stats: core 2 duo - 3Ghz, 4gig DDR2, 2x GTX 8800

I dual boot between winxp and linux with 1TB HDDs ( internal )

I use 2x 22'' monitor, wow on one screen, IM / other programs on another.

if you live in Australia, then I personally love getting parts from MSY

I play on my Macbook. It works fine, although I've lost a couple of keys. I'm too rough on it.

Re: What do you play WoW on?

Mac powerbook - two years ago when i got it, it would beat the best and most modern PCs easily on WoW performance, nowadays its just average.

If you want to play a laptop then make sure it can contain enough memory, laptops are usually very limited there, differnet from Desktops - and in 2 years time you will not have any fun anymore with 2GB ram.

Re: What do you play WoW on?

Made mine myself. At some point I need a new HDD and 2 gig more RAM. I intend to double up on graphics cards some time too. My motherboard (gigabyte 965P DQ6) does X fire but not SLI.

core 2 duo @ 2999mhz (yes, I voided my warranty but it's awesome)
2 gig of DDr667 (works better with a 1333 fsb than 800 or 533 will)
HD2900XT graphics card
1 bog standard 7200rpm SATA drive with about 300gig space
all supported by a ridiculous 850W PSU which apparently is very efficient, meaning, I guess that right now it's not only sucking up a lot less than 850W it's probably using less than my old 550W did.
2 20" monitors (one for wow, one for thott/wow wiki etc)
on XP home.
