Starting a new account and CD keys
Hi everyone, on my last post I got some pretty wise and on-point replies, so here goes for another question.
I (gasp) sold my account pre-The Burning Crusade, now I´m looking to get back into WoW. To my shock and horror, to make a new account Blizzard demands a CD key. This leads me to 2 questions: 1) are there not people with 2 accounts and the same name? I read something on the character-account transfer page that both accounts must belong to the same person. Does this mean that there are people who bought the game and The Burning Crusade twice? Or can one make another account with the same CD key? 2) If that is the case, I only might be able to find my CD key again, it was a long time ago. Therefore, I would need to get a new CD key - is there any cheaper option than buying the battlechest for $40? Can I just buy The Burning Crusade, or use a friend´s CD key to make a new account? Or should I try to get one from a friend who quit playing? Ach, headbreaking questions. Sorry. Thanks for any help. Last edited by MDJD; May 06, 2008 at 06:33 PM. |

Re: Starting a new account and CD keys
One account per key, I'm afraid. It's just that some people have bought the game twice, and made characters on both accounts. I did it, so I could run myself through stuff and be selling potions/flasks/transmutes on my rogue while I run heroics/ZA/Raid with my lock.

Re: Starting a new account and CD keys
Have two son's. One of them is going to want to play with me more once he is out of school and with my wife and I for the summer. So therefore, if we both want to play together at the same time. I have to buy him his own account. That means an other account and more game time. All I can say is thank heaven for B-days and Nana.
