Talking Old School Games

total annihilation
Best Game that needs a new version in my mind. I remember this game ate up hours and hours of my life and now I still have about 5 machines at my house (Mine/wife's/daughters/and 2 laptops) that I can get friends over to play a few battles.

I am not sure if this is ok, but why don't everyone post their favorite Old School game they remember fondly and still might play occasionally!

Re: Old School Games

OK, I suppose I am showing my age here, but...

Zork
Ultima I
Final Fantasy I
Baldur's Gate

Keep in mind I played all these when they were brand new, so at the time they were freakin awesome even with the poor graphics compared to today (except for Zork which had no graphics). I chewed up so many hours on these. Never was one for button-mashing games, quests and adventure for me. I think for the times, Zork may actually have been my favorite.

Re: Old School Games

Man Total Annihilation is so great, even after Cavedog shut down years ago the community is still producing new units and maps for it. I wish I could find my CDs for The Core Contingency and Battle Tactics :P By the way, you mentioned a new version, have you checked into the TA Spring project? I haven't used it personally, but it looks really cool.
