Anyone going to try Spore?

Spore gets released Sept 7 and I've been following it for a while now. Just wondering if any other Denziens might be waiting for it too?

i've followed it for a while but the dynamic game play from cell stage to space stage and the fact there's no demo leaves me kind of iffy.

i guess what i'm saying is that looking at it one stage play could be like an arcade game another stage might be like an RTS game and I'm not sure if that overall experience is something i'll like.

shelling out 100 dollars for a new game i might not like is a big ask and in the end i'll prob wait for the bargain bin or post xmas discount

Coud, there's heaps of info out there that talks about each of the stages. I watched a trailer just the other week which talks about how each stage develops game wise.

I also believe the game is only $50...

yea I know I watched it on ign... i just prefer having an actual feel of the game before buying...

and it's 100 in Australia which is prob 50 USA or roughly

I can't WAIT for Spore!! I even said to Theleb and Malty just yesterday that they're going to have to hold down the fort once it's out! I watched all the trailers and that leading up, and then, goodness knows why, watched them all again over the weekend. I've been playing with the Creature Creator Demo and I'm just itchin to get my hands on the full game!

I'm sooooo excited!!

I bought the creature creator a while back, I still make creatures occasionally. September 7th... Will Wright is a genius! I just hope it won't be the never-ending BUY OUR NEWEST ADD-ON! sale strategy like The Sims had.

Oh Akrab, he's ADORABLE!!!!! I didn't know about the full creature creator until this weekend, so I figured, with release being so close, it would be a waste of money.

I've been messing around with the creature creator as well. Spore looks like a lot of fun. it seems a bit like a simulator as well, so several of my office friends are creating spores that we're going to import into one single game to see which one survives.

Should be fun.

Hehe, I'm so tempted by this. The creature creator is so much fun. My girlfriend and I have spent plenty of time trying to out monster each other.

It seems like a very light diversion from wow, though I'm not sure it will be replacing wow as my main game.

We'll see
