Re: New System

The PC I play on now I got from Ibuypower as did my brother. He just ordered a new 1 yesterday from them also. Pretty nice gaming setup for under 900$.

Re: New System

Don't shoot me for bringing up an old post, but I couldnt find anything about Macs in searching the forum.

I have been playing WOW for years off my Macbook Pro and love the quality, speed and little to none in upgrading my system. I figured I would give my two cents in that when buying a new system it might be a little bit more expensive(depending on the type of mac you get) but well worth the money.

Are there any Mac users here? If so, whats the biggest problem you've had? My only problem lies in overheating. But I do plan on getting an actual desktop Mac soon and figure the fans in that bad boy will fix my problem.

Re: New System

I just started playing WoW a couple months ago. I didnt have a modern (less then 2 years old) system so I ended up getting the new mac mini with 4 gigs or ram and have had not problems with it except some occasional lag in dalaran. I was a PC guy but didnt want to touch vista and deal with all the video driver issues but unfortunetly I don't know macs very well and it still learning them.

Re: New System

I don't know anyone who hasn't had a bit of lag in Dal on any system =D

But, to help with the basics of using a mac a helpful books is Mac for Dummies. Just some tips n tricks that might be helpful.

Other than that just remember cmd is different from cntrl and they both do different things! That always got me frustrated when i started on a mac.
