Interesting Day....

Today's work day turned out to be a little different that I had expected.... started off normal, middle of the day was fine... at the end however I was involved in a conversation about would I like to go to America for 3 weeks.

For those that don't know I am a nanny by trade and I work for a Jewish family 3 days a week along with odd pick up weekend work for extra cash. This family are what we call, "holy crap you have how much money rich" and not only are they currently building a second house *cough mansion* but have also decided a family trip to America for 3 weeks would be a nice idea...

Being the family nanny, and them taking the kids they asked me if I would like to go and be their nanny on holidays... hotel, plane etc paid for. Most of you by now are thinking how cool right? but I don't get paid while on holiday, they pay my way, but do not pay me. So for 3 weeks I have zero income, couple that with 1 of their kids drives me completely insane to the point 10 minutes in a room alone with him and I have to bite my tongue. They have 2 boys which are 2 and 4... the 2 year old is a dream, I absolutely adore him... the 4 year old however acts like a 2 year old and worse.... I have never seen a 4 year old throw as many tantrums as this one does and over the measliest things... like a piece of paper sitting over the top corner of the one he's drawing on...

So after driving home thinking about it I am not going.. although I did think of you guys and coming to say hello to some of the people I know in America from here and other games which would have been so cool, but sadly I get no time off on the 21 days trip. Although coming to America would be cool and an experience of a life time, when you can't do it with the ones you love, and instead are cooped up in a hotel room with someone else's family it wouldn't be the same. Now I just pray I win lots of money so I can one day come to America anyway.

I'm sorry to hear that it would have been such a pain to come over to the states. but it probably would have given you a sour impression of the country if you have to baby-sit a brat for 3 weeks. it's for the better. plus i'm sure you'll make your way here eventually. i mean, who can't resist my tiny gnome ways ;)
