Mouse rec. + N52 info, please
Hey all,
Im getting to go on (yet another) carrier deployment and I was looking for some info. I want to get a new mouse before I go and I was also considering the Nostromo N52. THe games I mostly play are WoW (obviously not while Im on deployment :( ), Supreme Commander, Morrowind and Oblivion and other games in the same vein (RTS and RPG). I want a mouse with lots of buttons for all my macro needs and wireless would be nice as well. Also, any thoughts, opinions, etc on the N52 would be great. Thank you in advance everyone. |

n52 takes some getting used to, but once you learn how to properly set it up for macros, etc, it's a caster's dream. It's a bit chunky and clunky feeling at first, and it could use another generation of people to re-design the useless mouse wheel and direction pad.
The razer mouse is also, as kurnos posted, probably the most amazing mouse ever made. There are few who can challenge it. ~Kumozath |

Re: Mouse rec. + N52 info, please
I use the N52, but I'm about to buy the Saitek version. I have the Eclipse keyboard, and I love their buttons, and thats one thing I HATE about the N52 is how stiff the buttons are. As far as mice are concerned, for WoW I use the Logitech MX5000 Lazer Mouse. Sadly, the only was to get one of these now is to buy it as a keyboard/mouse combo, unless you get lucky and find one at a retail store. It has 5 buttons on it, and you can map the mouse wheel click, and mouse wheel left-tilt/right-tilt for a total of 8 buttons. Between that and my N52, I might as well unplug the keyboard except for chat. All of the logitech gaming mice are great right now, and they just re-released one of them with two side buttons, since they realized their mistake.
I'd take a look at the Saitek unit before I buy the N52, and find a mouse that fits your hand well. Thats always been my biggest thing. |

I LOVE my Nostromo n52- gotten to the point I can not play without it.. I use the Logitech g5 mouse- and its pretty good, and the G15 LCD keyboard, has macros and LCD screen- which comes in handy for my guilds Vent- it shows on the lcd screen who is talking- handy- also tells you when you get a tell from someone too.
