Voting on Polls (Split from Alliance / Horde Poll)

193 registered users... hundreds of topics... Thousands of Posts... and only 14 votes and 7 replies to this simple question, so basic and so vital, a 2 way fork in WoW... this is abysmal people, we must rise, we must vote, we must POST!!!

(Obviously not meant to all people who voted in this poll ;) )

Sorry, i just had to get that 'out of my system'

want, lust, Activation, Motivation, Penguinloveization

(end of annoying-post-ization)

Alot of people registered here only come to look up information they want and don't bother to post - which is fine. Also from my experience people tend to shy away from polls on messageboards - no idea why.

i know there are obvious reductions, but with 193 registered you can be allowed to expect 60 authentic posters and 30 active?

mayber the other 133 are just mindless penguins

You can't expect anything from posters or viewers of messageboards. I think about 1 of every 10(if that) of the registered posters here actually frequently post.

that's how forums work unfortunately. on average about 10% of registered users are regular posters. it's a lot more work to post regularly than to register and never post a thing. that's why i'm always more impressed with a forum with 25 active members out of 50, than one with 500 out of 100,000.

Voting on Polls (Split from Alliance / Horde Poll)

One of the reasons people register is because when you log in it tells you what new posts there are, something that doesn't happen if your just a guest.

Also, we encourage guild's to come an advertise if they take warlocks so most of those registered users did just that... registered, promoted, done. And before anyone says they should have stuck around don't, I openly advertised for guild's to come and do just that.

Lastly, the games not live yet, some people who have registered got sick of waiting and are not currently off playing other games (like who ever said they were in CoH), or they have just given up following every piece of information and would rather wait till it gets closer and then catch up.

Besides I would much rather 10,000 people come here for the information we provide and never say a word, than stay away because they feel they 'have' to post or take a poll.
