New MSN virus

Heya guys

i have a virus on my computer :( I big thanks to my sister for being gullable to fall for it ^^.
But basiclly my dad, the ego mad person he is, can't get rid of it and of coarse my dad won't give me a shot because of coarse if he can't get rid of it then i obviously wouldnt be able to.
I was just wondering is anyone has had the same problem, or know someone who's had the virus and knows how to solve it, i mean apart from not being able to play WoW :( i've got freakin Young Enterprise and Coarsework i need to be doing on there.

Any help would be absolutly fantastic!

1st step: get rid of MSN.... seriously. That's probably one of the most used application to spread viruses.

2nd: get some free antivirus-tool (kapersky, antivir), see if it can clear the virus (try several different programs to get rid of it)

3rd: if none of the tools work, your (last) option will be a total reinstall. That hurts but it WILL get rid of any virus you have.

Further advise:
- install a firewall, virusscanner, scriptblocker, ad-/popupblocker, and download all the security updates regularly.
That might prevent you from catching another one in the future (even if there will never be a 100% protection)
- use a under priviledged windows account for playing (and your sister). You don't need to be an admin to surf the net, so create a normal "user" and use it for surfing/playing etc.

Needed information to get rid of it: the name of the virus would help or an explanation of what it does (how did you notice you have one?).

-----> tell your sister not to click on any banner/button or download every fancy stuff she sees on the internet ;)

When i tryed to explain my little cousin (she is 14 now, and growing fast (too much, omg)) that msn is a bunch of vulnerabilities to say the least, and that she better use alternative chat programs; she tried trillian, she finded that it is not full enough of smileis, animations, sounds, and various bull@@@@, and went back to msn.
So i made her on her laptop an user level account with internet access an whatever, and when she screws it, i simply delete/recreate it.
And i format reinstall it when s@@@ hits the fan ;P
Like when she started reciving Cialis advertising on banners while surfing (lol).

I can think of a much better program for IM - play WoW and use /w!

Got it fixed now, bah i dont care much for MSN unless im after a hot chick, i jsut use xfire to talk to friends really, its just easier
