1. You see a toon with a name you recognize from the forums and click on them to see if it's a familiar lock....

(this actually happened to me yesterday. Apparently on my server Debuff is a shaman not a lock

)

2. Another lock asks you a quick question about your spell damage and you try to engage them in a long drawn out discussion about the relative merits of different raiding builds and the proper amount of +hit

Its not possible to spend too much time in the den...but that said....

3) You can provide answers to not only the question you were asked, but questions that were about to be asked and you also know exactly where the pertinent links are

... you see a character called Akasha, who's clearly a caster and you wonder if it's someone paying homage to our illustrious forum queen (or Akasha herself oddly playing on a Euro server), and then you mouse over her, find out she's a mage and then later learn that it's your exguild leader's alt... who's mains are a rogue and priest...

When you have wowmb .net/forums/search.php?do=getdaily with it's own shift-t hotkey.

(spaced so it isn't turned into a hyperlink ;)

When you have a macro in game advertising the site so you can press it after answering someone's warlock-related question.

When you read the "The Den" while taking FP's, forget about the game, and realize you should be playing not sitting /afk wherever you flew too.

Or when you take a break from farming to read a good thread, lose track of time, and come back to the game to realize Unending Breath ran out and you drown to death

(tru, I drown waaay to much lol)
