Sorry this is killing me. Your avatar...what TV show was that from? I know it's a 80's scifi but I can't remember.

Re: Hey Maltyrius

Badkarma's correct . . . the Land of the Lost 70's tv show:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of...4_TV_series%29

The sleestaks were one of the most amusing things I have ever seen. They moved as slow as hell while constantly hissing and shooting these lame hand held crossbows. Toss in the fact that they had a horn growing off their butts and you have 70's TV gold!

It was done by Sid and Marty Kroft who were sort of famous for weird children's material such as:
  • H.R. Pufnstuff
  • Lidsville
  • Sigmund and the Sea Monsters
  • The Bugaloos
So yeah, I'm old as dirt and full of obscure pop-culture factoids.

Re: Hey Maltyrius

Ah thanks for the quick reply. It just set my mind at ease. You're right it was 1st aired in the 70s but I remember it from 80s being younger. Surprised they re-aired it a decade later though. Though it still did seem current 10 years later in the 80s.

Terrible special effects and flimsy plots are timeless!

Well at 10 or 11 years old the plot from my perspective was solid as a rock. From what I could understand. And I remember the Sleestacks as being very creepy.

Re: Hey Maltyrius

I read this today and had no idea what it was being only 20 yrs old; however, I thought it was somewhat funny that Stephen Colbert mentioned a reference to the sleestacks on his show, the Colbert Report, tonight.
