quick question on wow lore. hmmm interesting

OK! having to retype this after hiting the exit butten

A wow patch launched says that Warlocks cannot enslave named demons. (no Kazzak goes to stormwind runs, not like i would do that

)
Anyways, back on topic, One of the Negrand quest chains, Book of Felnames(or somthing similar) say that A Demon Hunter gained Power by learning all the names of demons, and that knowing a demons name gives power over that demon. See the problem? We cant enslave NAMED demons. but in theory, knowing their name makes them easyer to enslave. Discuss.

on a side note, i realise that blizz did this ONLY to prevent warlocks from enslaving Demon bosses made for raid groups. this is somthing i noticed, and thought would be interesting to talk about

Btw could be useful to change the title of the thread to include the words "Enslave Named Demons" so it can be found if anyone wants to search the same issue your addressing here. Just an idea.

Just thought I would add that all of our summoned demons are obviously named as well. These names are reasonably unique and each warlock always summons the same Imp, Voidwalker, etc. every time.

Interestingly Infernal and Doomguards are enslaved and are not named, adding credence to the theory that named demons can not be enslaved. Named demons however can be summoned as evident from our relationship to our named demon pets.

I am not sure of Demon hunters relationship to the demons they hold power over. Perhaps they similarly summon named demons.

Obviously Blizz is making excuses to prevent us from being OP, walking around with bosses enslaved, but the reasoning seems reasonably consistent with Warlock abilities.
