Anyone here use this? Does it work well for WOW or should I stick with the regular keyboard. I am thinking of buying it and binding the crap out of it. Thanks :D |

Re: Belkin n52te
I have the previous model (n52) and i LOVE it...all i use my keyboard for is chatting. When you first get it...it seems awkward...but please...work thru that. It really is awesome (in my opinion of course lol). Also....this may seem strange, but I use the logitech trackball mouse for movement (thumb trackball). I was already use to using this mouse though and had used it for years before i started playing wow. I have to say that i love playing with the combination of these two.

Re: Belkin n52te
The Belkin N52 is an awesome tool, and I've used it for years. I purchased the N52TE thinking it was a nice sidegrade to the regular 52... It looks nicer and has a slightly nicer feel to the handpad, but the engine that drives the thing is completely hosed. It's a terrible rewrite of the original functions and will not always work the way you want it to. e.g. I use a key to shift-right click for an autoloot option. The 52TE would not allow me to bind this and make it work. Such a simple and easy thing that works great on the regular 52 simply doesn't work on the TE. I'd avoid it until they either loose the Razer engine or at least figure out how to make it work. The product was simply released way before it was ready software wise.

Re: Belkin n52te
I know this is an older thread, but I'm curious. Those that have this, how do you have yours set up? I got one a little while ago but the darn thing is a bit awkward and I've been having trouble deciding how to get it all set up.

Re: Belkin n52te
I don't have the Belkin but another idea is an Ideazon gaming keyboard. My husband and I both got them a few months ago. It took a little while to get used to it, but now I really love having so many keys bound and within easy reach. This is the one we have:

Re: Belkin n52te
I just picked up the n52te on Saturday, to replace my old N52 (which is now permanently in my laptop bag, since I can no longer play anything but AH without it). I use it on a Mac, so I can't speak to the PC software (which is supposed to be very robust - the Mac software is the suck, but I have it working now).
Here's how I set up my binds: D-Pad: UP - Alt Left - Shift Down - Control Right - Space (jump) Trigger (the button above the D-Pad) - Land Mount Top Keys: 1 - 1 2 - q 3 - w 4 - e 5 - 2 6 - 3 7 - a 8 - s 9 - d 10 - 4 11 - 5 12 - 6 13 - 7 14 - 8 15 (Thumb button below D-Pad) - Tab No D-Pad input: Q,W,E, A, S, D - movement 1 - Drain Soul (rank 1) 2 - Pet Attack 3 - Death Coil 4 - Sbolt (macro with damage trinkets + Blood Fury) 5 - SiLi (macro with damage trinkets) 6 - Curse of Agony (switch to Raid curse, CoS, CoR, etc, when needed) 7 - Corruption (macro with damage trinkets) 8 - Immolate D-Pad Left (shift) 1 - Spell Lock/Seduce/Intercept/Sacrifice (my current target) q - PvP Trinket w - Pet stay e - Detect Invis 2 - Unending Breath 3 - Devour Magic (macro to devour me) a - SoC s - Devour Magic (pet's current target) d - Drain Mana 4 - Drain Life 5 - CoEx (macro to amp Curse) 6 - CoT 7 - Shadow Ward 8 - Howl of Terror Scroll down - Lifetap Scroll up - raid target macro (ie, the chains in the Illhoof fight) D-Pad Down (Control) 1 - Rain of Fire (Rank 2 - snake traps and stealth buster) q - Hellfire (Rank 2 - snake traps and stealth buster) w - Soul Fire e - Soul Link 2 - Fel Armor 3 - Devour Magic (macro to target pet - self devour) a - Banish s - Enslave Demon d - Health Funnel 4 - Incinerate 5 - CoW 6 - CoS 7 - Fear (also bound to mouse button) 8 - Searing Pain D-Pad Up (Alt) 1 - Flying Mount q - Soul Fire w - Max Rank Hellfire e - Max Rank RoF 2 - Create/Use Healthstone (necrosis Healthstone button) 3 - Eat the food that's made from the everlasting fern thingy a - Spell Lock/Seduce/Intercept/Sacrifice (Macro to Focus Target) s - make focus (if no target selected, then it clears focus) d - Eat Mage food 4 - Oh Sh!t Macro (Health Pots, PvP health trinkets) 5 - Bandage 6 - Water 7 - Food 8 - gah, can't remember ----------- I don't use the shift states at all, though if I was going to, I would probably bind them to the D-Pad in place of ctrl/alt/shift. To keep track of where everything is, I use bongos to make 4 5x3 squares that represents the layout of the top of the N52. With the mouse-over keybindings, Bongos makes it really easy to visually bind the keys (just hover the mouse over the square you want to bind, and press the button). I have Fear and Vent PTT bound to my mouse. Let me know if you have any questions ![]() Edit: Here's where I go the idea for my setup from: NotAddicted.com - The NotAddicted Hardware Lab Presents: The Belkin N52 Gamepad It has pictures and stuff, much better than my write-up here. Re: Belkin n52te
Gritz, how do you like the newer version...i have heard that its actually a bad device compared to the old one. Apparently the software for this one is actually limiting the useability of it.
