Eeek... I would definitely try to get a new vid card... From the look of it that might be a AGP 4x only system right? But any vid card >$100 should be better then the integrated one that you have right now...

A friend of mine played ST with me with intel integrated graphic system. And it wasn't good at all... And this was with the new p4 3.4Ghz CPU, the new I915G chipset mobo, 1GB of crucial RAM (the expensive kind, I don't remember all the weird names ) and a WD 74GB Raptor SATA HDD... So, yeah I think WoW should give you less problems in term of crashing every 5 min. But if you ever get more then 20 people on the screen or take the griffon rides you might have serious problems...

my 2 cent hope it helped

i was looking to get a new Vid care but never really know what to get, and was planning on getting twice as much memory as i have but i never looked up what i could get. Also trying to keep the total price under $300 but eaither i would have to get my parents to buy it for me and just pay them back that not a problem i do that all the time as my CC only has a $200 limit and spent close to $100 already

Went to Staples a few weeks ago, forgot to look up what i could get and when i got there and asked they were like i don;t have a clue on what memory would work

Thats the type of memory that would work. If you tell the staples or whatever guys that and they don't know what you're talking about, it's time to choose a different store to shop at. Fry's is pretty decent if you have one in your area.

Depends on how much you're willing to spend. If you're not going to go top-of-the-line geforce 6800 series cards, then I would go with any of the more recent radeons. 9800 series is good and cheap. Stay away from the X-series radeons as you're paying a premium for performance that pales in comparison to the nvidia 6800 line.

Yeah memory is the cheapest upgrade you could get. Did you just get the system?

Is this system configured like the one that you have? :

PC2700 is the type of RAM that you would ask. And I think there is still a deal at Staples where 512MB PNY brand PC2700 memory is selling for $60 after rebate. Might worth a check (I saw the deal last week)

hmmm

it is just a dell dimension 2400 with 2.6ghz Celeron processor and 256MB of memory.

Did you just got the system? Like I said check out staples they may still have the deal around just ask for PNY pc2700 DDR Ram the 512MB kind.

Otherwise, I hate to say it but your motherboard doesn't seem to be the kind that would make the most use out of the new vid cards. But like Trem said ATI radeon 9800 series are pretty cheap now and are good buy.., But stay away from 9800SE because they just suck.
