I'm confused, did I miss something in Akasha's post? Was this meant to be funny? Some pure guy lost his life and this is supposed to be funny. What am I missing here, can someone help me out? (Not being sarcastic or a smartypants either) I read the article and it seems to be a pretty serious matter, is it for real? (is that the joke, that is fake?)

No...the original post is not funny. The point is that there is nothing we can do at this point about the actions of some demented idiot, but we can make a few quips as our way of letting Akasha know we're not taking ANYTHING in the Den so serious that we would ever consider such action. Did you ever see the show M*A*S*H? Basically there are 3 ways of dealing with tragedy...internalize it, rage against it, laugh at the absurdity of it...a little dark humor...hey, we're warlocks after all.

Man, that's totally F***'ed up. Some people are so close to the boiling point nowadays, you never know when they're going to flip out. It's just like road rage killings and school shootings that we see in the States. That's just one more reason why I tend to stay as anonymous as possible in my online dealings.

Naw..I said "Did you ever SEE a show called M*A*S*H?" It is perhaps the best example of stress induced dark humor to ever play to the masses. At first a lot of people reacted with a kind of "What's funny about that" responce, but it kinda caught on...as you may have noticed . I only asked because its such a good example that to recall it often helps people recognize that particular coping method. A few years ago I saw the same thing in Baghdad, even times where under stress people would begin laughing without even knowing why they were doing so...darndest thing is that it also seems to be contagious.

I live in the midlands in the UK near the Nottingham, from memory the papers reported it was a console game he ran the forum for can't remember the name of it.

Guy was a student that lived over a bar by all accounts :(

it's not funny someone got killed it's the guys supposed "reason" for it there where jokes one thing led to another and now a few people are jokeing about it beside you can't take life to seriously as this thread shows live it up today cause one of you might get pissed at my response and kill me tommorow.

I was being sarcastic, Yes I got the M*A*S*H reference. I found it to be right on point Dunwich. Sorry for be confusing in my reply.
