RIP Epheonix 1996-2008
A fathers tribute to Ezra, the World of Warcraft fan with brain cancer - The Blizzard Blog - OCRegister.com
I'm sure some of you will have seen this story last year and perhaps like me even own the Epheonix Crossbow, or have done the quest to feed Kyle - I feel that anything I say further will be inadequate so I'll keep it short: RIP Ezra, and my most sincere condolences to your family. |

Re: RIP Epheonix 1996-2008
*tears* I read that post and... I'm sorry for the loss. I frequent these forums and 4chan.org(as example). One is without soul or heart(4chan) which is easy to deal with; the other has a seriously strong human side where people bind together with hope and caring which is not nearly as easy to deal with but gives me hope for all people that maybe people are not as cynical and evil.
The "internets" though unforgiving at times, can sometimes bring people together where hopefully awareness and compassion can also be shared by people. I do not post often on these pages but frequent them daily. May anyone who reads this have a thought in their hearts about what great things community & caring can bring to crowds of people. With that said, best wishes to Epheonix, family and friends for showing us that caring for each other (no matter the faction :]) makes a bigger difference then we sometimes realize. P.S. Though the greatest amongst us may come and go, let not their memories fade nor forget the lessons they have taught us for they are worthy of our thoughts always. - AME ![]() |

If I only knew then that I was feeding Ezra's dog...
Rest in peace. We'll keep Kyle fed for you. |

Re: RIP Epheonix 1996-2008
I don't have the words that would say how I feel. I don't have the words to truly pay tribute to this child that has learned to live life better than I could ever hope to. I don't have the words to console his father or take away any pain that he surely feels. Still, saying nothing at all is far worse than saying something wrong. Godspeed, and may your life be strength for those that know not yet what it means to live.
