Re: Favorite Christmas movies
We really do Christmas around here. We start Thanksgiving Day after dinner. My wife sets up the movie projector and we show "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye for our first movie on the wall.
My favorite Christmas movie also gets a set-up. Get a plate of nice crackers, some sliced beef stick, sliced cheeses, and sweet-hot mustard, a nice cup of hot coffee and snuggle under the blankets on the couch on a dark blustery day with the whole family watching "A Christmas Carol" - the version with George C. Scott, which I think is the finest closest to the book version out there. I think the kids prefer the Polar Express (awesome animation - hot chocolate anyone?) and the wife prefers When Harry Met Sally. Also all the Rankin/Bass shows (the Year Without a Santa Clause - Heat Mizer and Snow Mizer ftw) for nostalgia's sake. There's an animated one called the Snowman, which I think is a UK production that brings a tear to the eye. I could go on and on about Christmas shows and stuff, but I won't. |

Re: Favorite Christmas movies
My personal favorites are Bad Santa and the Muppet Christmas Carol. Muppets FTW!
