Im sorry, I have to share.

As some may, or may not, know Im military. Well until yesterday my Wife was military, as well. She is now on terminal leave (Using saved leave time to complete her obligation) and doing the Housewife thing.

Well...

This morning I went to the gym and she was asleep (as any sane person would be at 0445) and when I returned, for shower etc, she had a huge bag made for me. The only condition, she said, was I couldnt look until I got to work.

I get to work, and open it up she made me a couple of small breakfast sandwhichs on croissant. With a Starbucks Mocha Frappaccino, my absolute favorite drink.

On top of this, for lunch she made me a small salad, some pasta (last night left-overs), my favorite Girl Scout cookies "Samoa's" (Im addicted), a container of Iced Sweet Tea, and another croissant. To top it all off she had a small 1/2 pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream. I think she fully intends on making me fat.

At the very bottom of the bag there was a little card from her and my daughter with all the "I <3 you, Daddy and I love you, Hon" writing. My daughter had got to use glue/glitter, her favorite, heehee.

This absolutely made my day.

Initially I did not want her to get out, as at our rank between us, we were making bank. But, I think she just wanted to provide for us/me, and this was her way of showing me what she could do. It made me all warm and fuzzy inside, to know of the preperation this took and just the idea of doing it in the first place.

that's awesome man! it's the things that seem little that truly make you feel big inside. plus it's a great feeling to be reminded about how great the people around you really are. grats! um...could you have your wife make me one too? it sounds really good. ;)

That is terrific! You are a lucky man my friend. You know it doesnt matter what can be going on in the world if you know there are people there that love you, all is well, thats the way I feel atleast.

Well, as an update...

I ate the whole lunch. I figured it was the least I could do. Let me tell you...that Ice Cream was G O O D!

have you tried the half baked ice cream by Ben and Jerry's???
that stuff is soooooooooooooooooo good.

and I bet you are very very full atm! which isnt a bad thing in my book really. =)
