For those that may want to know (Pantera or DamagePlan fans)

Not sure if anyone would even care here, but I am sure there are at least a few fans of these bands on here. I am quite shocked atm, but want to pass this along: "Dimebag" Darrel and one other band member of DamagePlan was shot dead last night at a show in Ohio.

Certainly one of the best guitarists of my lifetime, my thoughts are with his brother and the rest if his family. R.I.P.

I was wrong about the other band mate, I should have listed it as speculation, which it was at that point.

At any rate, it still feels strange knowing that something like that could happen, and to such a respected person in the metal community. :(

Although I have heard of Pantera, can't say I ever listening to anything. It doesn't seem to matter however as its made national news in Australia and even my mum was "that's so sad" and she had to ask me what "heavy metal" was... (she thought it was Alice Cooper).

My thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones.

don't know much about the new band, but pantera was one of the best live bands i ever saw.
