Happy Friday - what's in your CD player?
My husband (mage) and I turned 80 about a week ago, and our small guild immediately invited us to a 10-man Naxx run. We have only done a few 5-mans and only 2 heroic, so I didn't feel at all ready, but they assured us they'd make up for our crappy gear and low dps. So we went last night, and between getting dc'ed 4 times, dying on the dance (they ended up 4-manning him!), and our sub-par dps, they very apologetically asked us to leave before Patchwerk. Sigh. So today I'm thinking about other things like music and movies and partying on the weekend! What's in your CD player right now? I'm currently listening to: NOFX x 2, Pavement, Modest Mouse, the Shins, and the Replacements. Let's see what kind of musical variety our warlock community represents! The cd player in my car has been hijacked by the missus and atm there's a cd with childrens' songs. My iTunes playlist for playing wow atm though contains: * Sex Pistols * Metallica * Nirvana * Megadeath (Symphony of Destruction is a must have) * Rammstein * Rage Against The Machine * Guns N' Roses * The Clash * Turbonegro |

Well I tend to run pandora.com during wow time. Otherwise it's out of my zune library. Pandora channels: Orgy, Korn, Lacuna Coil, Slipknot, Disturbed, Linkin Park, A perfect Circle, Rage against the machine, Atreyu and Dethklok. On my Zune I tend to lean towards Disturbed, Atreyu, and heavier music while playing. Pandora is great because you start with a band you like and then thumbs up or thumbs down songs that share similar traits such that you end up hearing all kinds of new things and get a station focused in on exactly what you're going for. |

The CD palyer in my car hasn't worked in ages so the radio is tuned to NPR and I'm thankful everyday that I have a 5 minute commute. At work my ipod is constantly on shuffle. Some bands I find myself not skipping today are: The Submarines (going to see them Sunday!) Niyaz Apocalyptica Fleetwood Mac Wolfsheim The Postal Service Stevie Wonder Lordi Concrete Blonde Apoptygma Berzerk Yeah, my taste is "well rounded."

Cool - what an eclectic mix we have already! When I said CD player, I was referring to the car. At home, I usually put my ipod on shuffle while playing WoW. More of my favorites include Led Zeppelin, Spoon, White Stripes, Raconteurs, Beatles, Tesla, Hendrix, Metallica.... Keep em comin! |
