That being said, the only time I ever actually use the keyboard on the PS3 is when Im using its browser which I almost never use. One feature that I do like on the 360 is that the battery life on the controller is a lot longer than the PS3's. In addition, if you hook a controller up to the 360 (which can charge while you're gaming), it will even charge up the controller after you power it down. This saves a lot of time.It will also complete downloads in this lowpower mode as well. |

No matter what system you pick you will always find yourself disgusted with the quality of online play. They let anyone with the means to ask mommy and daddy to get them internet games. And this is where the problem lies you have kids on there anywhee from 6-18 and alotof them are friggin ********. I am a big fan of FPS and 3rdPS, when I am not playing WoW I tend to play Killzone, Socom, and Battlefield. Now if you look at the age ratings on these games they are all at least M rated. Well I have found that at least 75% of the xbox/ps3 community is not mature. In fact they are so immature it disgust me, and makes me not want to play with these immature little brats, that have no respect whatsoever. They talk shit, whine, yell, cry, and in general just be douchebags. I know quite a few people that dont like to play online games for this reason. I have both systems and tend to play my ps3 more because there is less people on there like this. And I really dont see why you would choose anything besides the ps3 yeah it has a steep pricetag but you dont have to pay a monthly subscription charge that ends up costing way more in the long run with the 360. I say pick up a ps3 which has blueray to watch movies and you also get movies online. Oh yeah it has its own OS wich gets you online to watch youtube, or twitter, and you can also install linux OS on it to play computer games. One of the best games I have played in a long time is and exclusive to the ps3 also Little Big Planet, very awesome game for the family you can build your own levels/play them with your family, or go online play other peoples levels they made with your family or with other peeps. The ps3 supports its own keyboard and mouse so you can just sit there on the couch and browse the the internet once you finish a game you just played absolutely free! I bought the 360 cause it was cheap, and thats what it is CHEAP, with expensive mothly fees and downloads. What brought me around to buy a new ps3 is it has a cell microprocessor wich game developers have not even come close to tapping the raw power of this machine. Ps3 now has a MMO Sacred2, yeah it is not the greatest, but what devolper in history ever pulled a new game with a new system out of the air and made it flawless, this takes trial and error. Just look at what is in the line-up for ps3 Zipper Interactive's MAG looks spectacular. And I really dont enjoy Halo, because of what my friend says about it "You play the main char Master Chief who after his planets distruction and his race being wiped out fell through the earth's atmosphere caught fire and like a meteor and smashed into the planet leaving a big crater, Now how in the hell could a race that can do that be wiped out by some aliens." Anyway I tend to play alot more of my ps3 than my 360, every now and again a game comes out for the 360 that catches my eye so i pull out the walet buy the game and a live card and play it for a bit, or even beat it. But I always go rihgt back to my ps3 or WoW.

OK...I'm sure I'm going to get lit up for this but here goes. It hasn't been mentioned, but I have had a very positive experience with our Wii. Granted the graphics are not up to par, but it has allowed me to introduce gaming to our family time. My 7 year old and I can spend hours of positive time together. As a matter of fact, we took it to a family get-together and we had people ages 86 to 5 all playing the same game! You just don't get that level of flexibility on either of the other platforms. I mention it Akasha only because it gives you an opportunity to involve your daughter. Its so much fun. Believe me, there is nothing more humbling to a 39 yr old man than getting smoked at Wii bowling by a 7 year old girl!  It was a thoroughly excellent investment IMO. ps -> Between the 2, I'd choose PS3 - simplisticly, the fewer games is offset by more cool stuff included.
