One thing that is often heard commented on in the car by either myself or Thor, is "Oh gawd, look at that house!", and yes, we're usually commenting on the gawd awful job people do decorating their house for Xmas. The cardboard Santa and his reindeer, enough lights to drain a power station, fake snow, frosted windows etc. The last ones are the best, given I'm in Australia and our summer usually consists of flies, sunburn, chapped lips and hot drinks... hot soft drinks, warm water etc, not tea and coffee
