+Dmg Gear in BC - Neck Slot
Not everyone reads the official Warlock forums, and who would when we have it so good here... but because of that I thought I would post this here as well for those that wouldn't see it. Full credit goes to Benign for posting it, I am simply copy+pasting a copy here because threads go missing, fall off the page and eventually die on the official forums. This info is too good to lose/miss. All the information is from this thread, but to encourage comments on items and hopefully (please) get people adding other items they have found. (P.S. Why don't we have people posting stuff like this on this site? *Sad panda*) It's time to get excited about the Burning Crusade! This compilation is geared towards the heavyweight Affliction warlock -- I'm talking about the ones who aim to take down most players with a quick succession of DoTs and maybe a luck Nightfall proc. Who needs Felguards or Shadowbolt casting times when you have Unstable Affliction and +SpDmg gear! I was collecting a list of +damage items I had come across on the Beta, and decided to check the foums to see if anyone else had done the same. Sure enough, I found a post by Draele of Thunderhorn with a good listing of +damage gear. I've added more items, and included the Thottbot link, relevant item stats, gem/set bonuses, and drop/craft/quest info. The Thottbot links will be changed as soon as BC goes live, and I hope to keep the items updated as new loot is found. I'm looking forward to a BC update for MaxDPS... Mmmm :P Keep in mind that many random greens are flippin' fantastic. I found a level 66 wand that my Tier 2 Priest would have been quite happy with... "Nobility Torch of Sorcery" or something. I was on my Hunter and needed help with a PVP escort quest, so I gave it to a Shadow Priest who offered to lend a hand... I can't recall the exact stats, but it was something like +7 SpDmg, +7 Stam, +7 Int, 100 DPS. Thanks to Draele of Thunderhorn, Ultim of Stonemaul, Verybigcow of Thrall, Zaliisa of Proudmoore, Deneghra of Jaedenar, Xarkin of Stormrage, Sinuous of Runetotem, Vraxx of Altar of Storms and Fluchy of Uldum for their contributions. Hopefully more will be added soon  Format - A "?" indicates that the information in question has not been verified. - Will be adding a rating section explaining how +damage, crit, hit, penetration, and resilience work - Sorted by +damage. Items with Gem slots will be ranked according to the following gems: Yellow +5, Red +9, Blue +5, Meta +12. However, a unique gem is available with slightly higher +damage in all colors. Choker of the Firelord from Ragnaros still seem pretty viable when comparing +damage on the Neck slot... |

There is a nice necklace for a quest line in Blades edge I do beleive. Unfortunately I am at work and can't seem to remember the name as well. It has some nice spell damage and both +stam and +int so far its the best necklace quest I have ran across and it was not difficult to accomplish. I will post my finding when I get home and I can see what the name of the necklace is on my character.

As I found out last night, the quest is bugged. If you do not kill the she-man demon (68 Elite) relatively quickly, your mask disappears. :( |

I'm still using mine as well at 70. Damage-wise, nothing has come close to replacing it. As for stats, I guess I'm giving up something there, but my Stamina is ~8k and Int is somewhere between 6 and 7k. Since I'm Affliction-spec, neither really ever gets too low anyway. |
