Re: Frozen Shadoweave set

I was putting a potent noble topaz in the yellow and glowing nightseye in the blue.

Then i realized that as an affliction lock there was no need. The socket bonus for each piece is only +3 hit. I'm now in the process of replacing the noble topaz with more glowing nightseye.

end result will be +3 spell damage +18 stamina -15 crit (but once again, i'm affliction so who cares about crit).

I would assume that a dest lock wouldn't make this set but would make the spellfire instead...i could be wrong

a Demo lock-- probably go with the recommended gems if he has some destruction talents to beef up his crit ny another 1%

Yay, epic gems!

+6 Spell damage/+6 Sta (quest to kill Nightbane in Karazhan)
+5 Spell Hit/+6 Sta (last boss in Heroic Slave Pens)
+5 Spell Crit/+5 Spell Pen (last boss in Heroic Underbog)

and then I filled the rest with glowing nightseyes and potent noble topazes.

Re: Frozen Shadoweave set

Just wanted to comment that Destro warlocks wouldn't want this set..

Being a warlock, if you are specced destro, our *only* means of survival is to outlast our opponents, which means we not only have to have insane DPS, but an insane amount of life. I am now specced NF/SF, and would never use the spellfire set unless I wanted to raid destro. Why? Cause the spellfire set has absolutely *NO STAMINA*. I know, it's only 3 pieces, but they are the 3 pieces that usually have a high amount of stamina, and i'm never going to give up 1000 life just so I can do an extra 300dmg. I just don't see it being worth it.
