Imbued Netherweave Robe

http://www.thottbot.org/?i=57016
Okay, apparently this robe is unique (for some reason) and you can't make more than one. I really want the robe and guildy would gladly make one for me (if I bring him materials of course).
Is there a way to bypass the unyque part, like by maybe putting the robe in the bank, then making another, or vendoring yours, making another one, the buying your robe back?
I would test this on my own, but I only get to play once a week, and I like to learn everything I want to know before I play again.

Re: Imbued Netherweave Robe

Ehh.. Why would you want more than one? I don't understand. You can make more than one, but they have to be sold or vendored or whatever b4 the second can be made.

I'm fairly certain there are no loopholes to actually acquiring two unique items and being able to use both of them...

but not like you can wear two robes at the same time anyway...

Uhhh, I don't want two. A guildy that can make it already has one, and I want one for myself too.

Re: Imbued Netherweave Robe

I was wearing the robe for a bit... and a guildie wanted one as well. So i put mine in the bank, made another one while standing in my skivees... handed it to the guildie and put mine back on. It's lame that the did it this way.

Re: Imbued Netherweave Robe

um...are you sure you put it in your bank and didn't sell to a vendor? Because unique items check your bank as well.

You *can*, however, sell the item to a vendor then make a new one and trade/mail it and buyback your original one.

Just make sure you're not having connection problems at the time... :P

I might be totally wrong or miss heard but I was under the impression that you could only wear or equip 1 unique item, would that not have something to do with it..?

Re: Imbued Netherweave Robe

Correct, the crafter cannot have two. Therefore the crafter can never create another Imbued Netherweave Robe, for his friends or for sale on the AH. Get it, that's the problem.

They got around this buy making items Unique-Equipped vs Unique, looks like the Robe is not one of them.

The sell to vendor & buyback is the only loophole i know of to get around this. It seems most items got fixed w/ the Unique-Equipped tag vs the Unique tag.

Re: Imbued Netherweave Robe

Crafters are able to have a soubound crafted item, and craft another of the same. Putting a unique item in your bank won't help you.

If you're not 70 yet and you can't wear it, just send him the one you have atm, and make another for yourself when you mail it. Vendering does work too. if for whatever reason you really really need access to 2, send one to an alt.

Re: Imbued Netherweave Robe

Take Robe 1, sell to NPC vendor

Craft Robe 2, mail to guildy/alt

Buy Robe 1 back from NPC vendor

works like a charm, just don't log out before you buy back robe 1.
