Sockets

I was just wondering what kind of gems a warlock should use in the gear sockets..

I socketed my meta-gem slot on Oblivion hood with a Mystical Skyfire Diamond
Procs quite often, and can go off on 'every' spell you cast...Lifetap,Dark pact, drain ,bolts....
Sometimes I get shadowtrance + Focus from the gem, and I can shoot two bolts in less than two seconds, or bolt+soulfire

Proc time is quite short (4 seconds), so having ScrollingCombatText installed to alert when you gain focus helps alot.
My other sockets contain +damage+stamina gems.Glowing Nightseye

I heard that the Mystical Skyfire Diamond is going to be nerfed in the next patch to "5% chance to cut your casting time by half"

Are thye really doing that to the gem? Doesn't sound -terrible- but there is maybe one or 2 other ones that aren't bad for a lock.

+12 sta never hurts, neither does the +crit/+spell damage

Until more people are crafting glowing nightseyes I went with the +4dmg +4sta gems for the most part.

Almost all glowing nightseye here. I've ignored the socket colors on my frozen shadoweave stuff because the yellow gems don't interest me as affliction. and glowign nightseye fits into red and blue slots so they worked well for the battlecast set also.
