Felguard (+stats vs +dmg)

Not sure if this should be in the equipment section or not.

I'm after advice re: my lock build (including, but not limited to, my talents). I am currently demo specced and loving it, it compliments my playstyle very well. However a lot of the loot i am getting now has increased +dam stats on it, with reduced +sta stats, which in my mind, weakens the demo build.

Here's the question: In terms of overall gain, which is better for the demo lock, heavy +sta +agi high armour gear with lower +damage, with the ultimate goal of boosting the felguard as OT/DPS machine, or to drop the +stats and pick up more +damage gear and reduce my felguard to a reuseable DoT?

I am really trying to squeeze the most out of my talent choice and if i get too many upgrades with +damage and low sta etc, i will consider switching to aff build, possibly destro given the trinkets with chance of +damage on critical spell hit

any advice is welcome.

you should as always look the stats in this order :

1) +damage
2) +sta

Your pet takes 30% of your sta & int and 60% of your +damage so boosting your +damage will boost greatly your FG. Don't worry for sta. You'll get loads of it as your level increase. (actually 69, about 8500 hp unbuff, 760 +damage with felarmor, 11% crit)

Wait your Felguard stacks 10 frenzy & trinket a +damage something, then look at its AP and dps. enjoy ! especially under Enh Shamy crit boost + hunter mark + warrior battleshout.

Believe me. it hits hard.

I just broke the 10k Hp barrier unbuffed no imp out. It is only going to get better hp wise from here. Keep in mind that while you get damage form stats, it is not your primary source of boost. Balance it out and enjoy.
