Netherweave help!

ok so.... im sitting here doing a little math on my pentultimate goal of getting frozen shadoweave gear.....

Mats

frozen shadoweave
-------------------------
shadowcloth = 26
Primal water = 38
-------------------------

shadowcloth
-------------------------
78 bolts of netherweave = 24 stacks of netherweave
52 arcane dust
-------------------------

14 x netherweave boots
--------------------------
84 bolts netherweave = 25 netherweave stacks
28 knothide leather
---------------------------

10 netherweave tunics
-------------------------
80 bolts netherweave = 24 stacks netherweave
---------------------------

5 netherweave robe
--------------------------
40 bolts netherweave = 12 stacks netherweave
--------------------------

total
61 stacks netherweave (not counting the shadowcloth)
1281 netherweave cloth <-----JUST TO GET MY SKILL TO 350 (from 331 currently)

then i add up the shadowcloth.....roughly ~1600 netherweave cloth!

so disregarding the farming of motes of water ( /sigh) how am i supposed to get all of that netherweave cloth, help warlocks den! would it be more efficient to farm gold instead of farming the netherweave?

Re: Netherweave help!

That shit drops off every single mob so it's not like its hard to get. If your were alliance I would give you all my netherweave, I have a lot. Almost 700 or so of netherweave that im going to end up selling.

Re: Netherweave help!

Well if the guild helps it shouldn't be to hard.

I send tailors the cloth when they need it. I only make bandages or sell them on AH. If all your guild members mail you 1 or 2 sacks you are probalby done already

for the shadowcloth your guild should arrange a pool of people who make it and equip the tailors per items in turns. That way your guild improves the fastest on gear

Re: Netherweave help!

Hate to make you even more depressed, but you need to level your tailoring to 375 to make frozen shadoweave. That involves the Imbued Netherweave Set--Pants (340), Boots (350), Robe (360) and Tunic (360)--which means you need Arcane Dust plus Netherweave, Netherweb Spider Silk, and the rest.

I just made it to 350 and I'm not very pleased either.

Re: Netherweave help!

Im at 375, cost me so much cash, but I think in the end it will be worth it. Not just for the Frozen Shadoweave set, so far ive only got the shoulders, as ive made a couple of Ebon Shadowbags (28 slots makes all the difference) 40% extra.

Very cost effective too, as its only 6xShadowcloth and 4x Netherweb Spidersilk.

Also, for farming the Netherweb, There is a spot just below the Alliance Base/village in Terrokar Forest which has an enormous amount of spiders that drop the silk. I farmed 20+ in 1 hour of farming.

Though that was because I had the entire place to myself after about 10mins, and everyone else there realised they couldnt keep pace with the powers of affliction :-)

It is worth it though, because Instance wise, you cannot be certain of a drop, and even though the Shadowcloth takes time, stockpile, persavere(sp?) and even if you get better than the Frozen Shadoweave, atleast you can make a different Item, or just make Ebon Shadowbags and sell them for 1000-1500gold or something. or 200g if they bring their own materials.

375 Tailoring is one of the best 375 skills to have, it really is. I can make both the spell threads (Exalted with Scryers) so I also do that on BYOM's.

Very profitable, but it is possible.

Re: Netherweave help!

The way I did it was to advertise in the trade channel wanting to buy netherweave cloth. Once you get a couple of people to sell at a reasonable price, strike a deal for them to send you any stacks they get COD. Helps you get a load of cloth quite quickly and earns them a bit of cash along the way.

Re: Netherweave help!

there are many ways to ease the pain of collecting 2,000 Netherweave cloths;

....Get some guild members to help ... even if you take them C.O.D. for a 1/2-3/4 AH average.

.... Watch the AH .. set a Max price in your head and bid on everything under that price. Lets say there are there are 50 Stacks selling for 3g bid and 5g buy. Your personal Max Price is 4g/stack. You bid on all 50 stack at 3g. You will lose the auction on 80% but will pick up 20% at a reasonable price.

.... Trade for it! ... I have a deal with a Priest Guildmate to trade my Primal Mooncloth for his Shadowweave 1 for 1. he gets his sets and I get mine earlier.

.... Farm it!! .. This is my prefered method for many reasons.
......... I am working on Tailoring as a Farm currently 360.
......... I head that the last point (374) is the worst to get,
.............So I am saving my FSW Shoulders & Boots for 373 to 374 & 374 to 375.
......... I am saving for an Epic Mount and 5,000 gold isn't nothing to sneeze at.
......... I am making Big Bank while farming my Netherweave Cloths.
......... I am getting huge amounts of Arcane Dust on DE'ing BOE Greens from Farming.
........ I will need all those Arcane Dusts to make Imbued Blots for Imbued Tunics.
........ I can sell Grey loot for More cash.
........ I need 38 Primal Waters (380 Motes) Plus more Primal waters to make Mooncloth every 4th day.
........ I make Big Bank farming Motes from Greys and BoE Greens.
........ I am a Warlock after all!!!

Now I do agree that Farming it takes time, but its not like I have the 26 Shadowweave cloths on me to make the robe. So why shoot stright to 375 so I can wait another 4 or 5 cooldowns to get the mats. Now if I was a hyper-active crack-head and NEEDED my Frozen Shadow Set NOW and I had UNLIMITED gold, then I would buy everything. I do not unlimited funds, but I do have 4-5 cooldowns to wait out so I'll farm what I can. I will have my 3-set when I get my last piece of shadowweave and I will go from the altar to the Loom and make the 3 pieces that day. Then I will be happy.

Re: Netherweave help!

Best Places for Netherweave ..

Shadow Moon Valley .. Near the Black Temple they drop a lot and they drop Signets for Scryer faction along with Arcane Tomes

Netherstorm .. Near any of the Mana Stations, but Bara (sp) seems to be the one of choice due to be near the Bank at A52. Same drops .. Signets, Tomes.

If you like Aldor faction and want marks and Fel Armament then same zones just hit the Demon packs.

You should be able to pull ... what ... 5 stacks an hour? 10? 20? 30? Not counting the Marks/Signets or the Tombs/Armaments or the BoE Greens or the Grey trash that sells for 2+g/stack. How can you go wrong. Worst case would be you farm half and buy half from all the cash you made farming the first half.

Tip: If you have a Druid friend ... *cough* AoE these Pigs with SoC *cough* Make a deal .. you=Signets for me=Cloth or something like that.

Re: Netherweave help!

I have got a lot of Netherweave farming signets.

Like people have said. Netherstorm or Shadowmoon are great places to get...

Signets/Netherweave/Greens(to DE)/greys to sell.

It's what I have been doing.

Works Tailoring/Enchanting/Scryers rep, and XP if you're not 70 yet very well.
