Melee equipment for a lock?

Last night a mage with epic stuff challenged me to a knife fight and nostalgia struck me,to the glorious days of staff swinging. Before any spell or even wand could deal much more damage than melee attacks. Suppose I would like to try that again,what stats and mods should I search for on equipment? Strenght,attack power,agility,crits...or maybe fire damage to help with the firestone. It's just for fun. By the way,the fight with the mage lasted a good couple of minutes,but the one with 12k hp and demo-sacced VW ultimately won...at full health.

find loads of AP (or str) then agi for crit and chance to hit.

In Diablo 2 there were "titan builds": investing all your stat points in strenght,i.e. on a normally weak sorcerer,to make them 1 hit killers with 2 handed weapons and yet with very few hit points.

For melee caster duels, I prefer bare fists. Nothing is more amusing than watching 2 high-dps casters punch each other for... 8.

My unarmed skill is actually my highest weapon skill at ~320, lol

Lol I was in Theramore heading the Tabetha and ther was a 34 hunter, and I melee'd him to death :P. I used Hypnotic Dagger and a Firestone, it was great :P.
