Maybe I should be more specific

I was running out of time at work when I posted my last post. Perhaps I should be a little more specific. I am wondering what would your opinions be on which I should shoot to upgrade first. I have looked at the guides and started even writing things down but I feel pulled into different directions.

I would like to see your opinions on what piece of gear would make the biggest upgrade from what I already have so I can use the limited time I have to play wisely.

I'm still not sure what the problem is. Your gear is pretty good to begin with, why are you having trouble figuring out what to upgrade? What do you mean by "pulled in different directions"? Is this solely for raiding or pvp? It is difficult to respond to posts that are vague (this post doesnt really give me much more information about your problem over your last one).

If it's solely for raiding:
You have a set of tailored gear which means you'll probably have to wait until SSC/TK for an upgrade for those parts.

If you got money or tailor cooldowns, you can get the girdle of ruination (or wait for the belt from maulgar).

You can use heroic badges to buy the +shadow offhand and the trinket. Both of which are fairly easy to get with a quick mech and/or slave pens run each day.

As for your back, there's the prince or moroes cloak.

If you got the dkp and guild progression, you can get a 1h from gruul, prince, or doomwalker (the 1h from HH rep otherwise). If you prefer a staff, there's the curator one. This would be your most significant upgrade.

This information is all listed in the the gear guide on this site. All you have to do is compare the upgrade with your current gear along with figuring out which ones you have access to with your time/guild progression constraints. As I said before, why are you confused on how to upgrade?

Well for a start, the wand from Shadow Labs (Wand of the Netherwing I think it's called) would get you some extra spell damage and some extra sta, Girdle of Ruination is a given, Honor Hold exalted blade will give you a fair bit extra spell damage at the cost of a little sta and int, the shadow damage trinket and offhand with some heroic badges. ALL of these are relatively easy to get, albeit some of them would be time consuming. I could think of more if I tried.

Personally, I would love to have the gear set you have now, but still...

Since you're in Kara, Nathrezim Mindblade should be something to get, as well as the Shadow Cloak of Dalaran.

Orb of the Soul-Eater has been suggested as well (25 heroic badges).

I hope to have these some day, since I'm only 68 ATM.

Thank you for your responce Rizob. What I mean about being pulled in different directions is that with all the other peices of gear that I have gotten. With the exception of Kara loot (kinda of a luck of the draw thing).

How I got the gear I currently have is I picked ONE piece of gear and went all out to upgrade ONLY that piece. For example Spellstike I picked the head...found a person that cuold make it and agreed on a price for the nether and went all out to get the other components.

My gear is primarily for raiding I have I believe only one pvp kill ever since I made this Qatule and have no great plans to PvP.

Thinking about it further and more in depth what I am asking is what (in your opinions) would be the BIGGEST upgrade to my gear?

Or what (in your opinions) is the WORST peice of gear I have ?

The left side of your gear set (head through bracers) is flawless. Cloak could use a Kara upgrade, but whatever, you've got one of the best blue cloaks.

The tailored Girdle of Ruination is a good upgrade, as is the Belt of Divine Insipiration of High King Maulgar. The belt is getting buffed in 2.1 to be be slightly better than the girdle.

Put 2 +9 spell damage gems in your boots. Buy Scryer's Bloodgem and shoot for Quagmirran's Eye that drops in Heroic Slave Pens. Farm Heroics until you have 25 badges to get Orb of the Soul Eater, the best offhand for a lock in the game. Another item that drops in heroic mode Underbog is The Black Stalk, probably the best wand pre SSC/TK. The stats are awesome in 2.1.

That should do it. Save up DKP for the Nathrezim Mindblade/Bloodmaw Magus Blade.

Thanks Pimp A question about the Scryers Bloodgem though. Is the +to hit really all that good ?

I belive the one I would replace has + crit on it. Does the + to hit make up for the loss of Crit ?

Hit > crit, even more if you're Affliction. Do you DoTs crit? Didn't think so. ;)

Good point and my + to hit is a bit low at this time ok I will grab the trinket when I get on next time.
