Somewhat related question: Do different wands have different ranges; or is there a pre-established range for all wands?

right now they have a set range which is the same as all the other nukes. on a cool note, i found a wand in a drop that only had a min level of 7. of course from the same mob a friend of mine dropped and even better version of that wand with a min level of 12. i was at level twelve so i was a little annoyed i didn't get that one.

If you're alliance, the best wands you can get early on (a bit later than 7) can come from quests.

the quest to kill Old Murk Eye, given at the westfall lighthouse, results in a very good wand. Cookie, a unique sub-boss in the deadmines also has a very good wand that is not replaced in quality for a long time. At level 35-40, killing some crushridge warmongers (41+-42+) might be your thing to get Burning silver, but it'd be alot easier for a warlock with demons breath to get the ships logs in faldir's cove for a wand of equal stats and only killing level 40-42 naga.

Wow, I got a burning wand at level 7 and have been using it ever since. It dropped of a Defias something or another. Possible corrupted loot table? It is beta though.
