Dreadsteed quest question

Hi I have a question about the dreadsteed quest. Does it matter if you get 6 major elixirs of shadow power or do they have to be 6 elixirs of shadowpower?

This is from the guide on the sight because i honestly did not remember.

Objective: Bring 10 Elixirs of Shadow Power to Gorzeeki Wildeyes in the Burning Steppes.

Elixirs of Shadow Power are created by those with the Alchemy profession and can be created upon reaching a 250 or higher skill level. (The recipe is sold by Maria Lumere in Stormwind City and Algernon in Undercity.)

you have to get the ones that require 3 ghost mushrooms a piece to make.. whatever they're called.. in all you'll need 30 mushrooms and a friendly alchemist as you need 10 potions not 6, unless they changed this very recently

They must be the elixirs of shadowpower, not the major elixirs, and yes, it's 10. I'd check the ah everyday for those mushrooms, sometimes you get lucky and can buy them cheap. Or take an herbalist friend with to mara.

Or go to Skulk Rock in Hinterlands - the slimes shouldnt give you too much trouble at your level

I am an Herbalist with Alchemy and it was PAINFUL to farm those mushrooms.

The only painful thing about it I found was waiting for them to respawn. You only aggro the slimes if you are right on top of them, and they are easily dispatched to slime heaven (or hell) anyway

A little advice would be, obviously buy the Mat's, then enter the Trade channel, and Type 'LF Warlock Alchemist' within about 3 and half seconds got three replies all saying 'Epic Quest'. The first one, was in Orgrimmar, in the AH she told me where I could buy Crystal vales, crafted for free and wished me luck.... no fuss nothing, just expensive Mats in my opinion.

In addition to skull rock (3 mushrooms per spawn) and Mauradon.

You can also get these mushrooms in the cave in Southern Zangermarsh (where the bog lord type things are). Also 3 mushrooms per spawn, but handy for Sporeggar rep if you are an alchemist as well, as you can get the transmute Primal Earth to Prima Water recipe at revered with the faction - 15 rep per kill from the mobs - and ghost mushrooms as well.
