Whats a 70 loc to do ? (for gear)
I'm a somewhat new 70 with not so good gear looking for advice on how to get good/better gear from short playing time. I don't have time to play for hours everyday, probably can put in about 2 hours a day. I'm not sure which road to take, areana, BG, quests, AH or start getting attuned for Kara. Keep in mind that I'm not very good at PvP. You write it, I'll read it.  I usually can play around 2 hours straight undisturbed, so I guess I'm willing and able to try anything. TIA for the replies. |

I am in the same boat as you are. Little to no time to play. I have a mix of crafted gear and Arena/BG. It works for me. Check it out

I guess what I really want to know is what should I do to work on getting purple gear? Dungeons (which?), EotS ? |

With crafted and BGs only you can do allright: You have the Frozen Shadoweave for Chest/Belt/Boots. There is also Battecast Head/Pants. If you are Destruction there is Spellstrike - pieces escape me off the top of my head. You have Veteran BG gear for Bracers/Ring/Neck/Cloak (also belt and boots for another option). So right there are 9 epic slots without stepping foot into a 5 man instance or PvE raid. Arena is great as far as time investment in relation to reward, although it is much more unforgiving than BGs.

Hey Joz, Check out my gear. It is either BG/Arena or Crafted. Except my pants (tier 2 eqiv) main hand sword, and off hand. Those are drops off Botanica, Keepers of Time rep, and Heroic Badge turn ins. I am currently at 11.1k hp unbuffed. 948 Shadow damage. I think that is pretty good for someone with not alot of time. Correction to my post above: Frozen Shadoweave is chest/shoulders/boots . . . no belt available. The belt I was thinking of was the Girdle of Ruination - another nice crafted piece.

Thanks for the replies. Well, since I'm Herb/Alch the Frozen Shadoweave is off the table. I think what I will do is BG's and Kara attunement. With the number of instances involved on my way to getting attuned, I should get some decent gear from them. On my down time when I'm not grouping for that, I'll do BG's and check the AH for epics.  Anyone have anything to add to that? |
