Spell haste Vs spell Hit rating Vs Crit Rating

With 2.3 coming out new week, Im now asking myself how much spell haste is good compare to spell hit or spell crit.

Im a destro Lock

IMO 1 spell hit is worth 2 spell crit ( Im far from 202 hit ( 115) but im over 20 % crit ( no talent))

Any of you have an Idea how we can compare spell haste to spell hit /spell crit.?

thank you

After you are hit-capped at 202, spell haste will increase your damage more than spell crit, however your mana efficiency will drop.

Does anybody have any theory or math about how Spell Haste compares to +damage? I have no experience at all with haste, but I guess I will be needing to make decisions on gear with ZA.

This is part of a value system I picked up from here awhile ago. Cannot verify its accuracy, but I've used it to generalize anyway.

Spell damage: 1
Shadow damage: 0.95
Spell hit: 0.85 (if not raiding, make this value .66)
Stamina: 0.75 (if leveling, make this value .85)
Spell crit chance: 0.75 (w/ ISB and Ruin, .66 w/ just ISB, and .5 if full Affliction and/or neither ISB or Ruin)
Spell haste: 0.5

even without any point in haste, i can reach max aggro allowed very quickly , both in trash and in boss fight. So until my tank is much better, im not gonna invest any point on haste.

anyone able to confirm as to how good this value system is?
i was thinking of getting http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33192 with the +8 spell hit gem crammed in there. However, if i math out the "value" of the item stats, i am getting my current item - http://thottbot.com/i29350 to be slightly better for DPS.

thoughts/suggestions?

Re: Spell haste Vs spell Hit rating Vs Crit Rating

Spell haste, as long as you have hit capped, is the most valuable stat for destruction locks (point for point). Major number crunching would have to be done to find it's value for a UA lock, but my guess is it's a bit less than +damage, but still far better than crit.

i would imagine that spell haste would benefit afflocks as well...providing they are hit capped....i know the proc i get from quags eye is great as it mostly procs right before i am about to sb.

No doubt it would benefit. Just probably not as much as +damage. No numbers to back that up, just what it seems like.

Re: Spell haste Vs spell Hit rating Vs Crit Rating

use leiur spreadsheets ( i spelt that wrong) to get it with your exact gear, haste and crit scale as your damage rises. haste raises as both your damage and crit do.

for my gear - 1342 damage, 26 % crit as destro and hit capped the scaling becomes like this

1 crit rating = .78 +damage, 1 haste rating = .89 +damage
