question on hp and spellstrike/fsw gear.
Hi all.. its a basic question.. am i suppose to have this amount of hp? Or should i socket 12 stam gems until later? thanks.. .bow |

dont bother socketing stam gems in fsw and spellstrike gear, instead put +4spellhit/+5spelldmg, +8spellhit or +9spelldmg gems. |

i am using: Yellow = great dawnstone - +8 spell hit Red = Ruined living ruby - 9 spell damage Blue = Glowing nite eye - 5 spell damage/6 stam |

Your health is actually way below what I would be comfortable with as a 70 lock. If you raid or run heroics, try to go after some of the badge loot. Otherwise, PvP your heart out and get the s1-s3 gear for stam. |

ya.. it was a concern.. i will get the other items neck/gloves.. whatever else from pvp..thinkig of tossing in 12 stam until i can.. or just tuff it out. lol.. thanks! /bow |

Not having demonic embrace also hurts you a lot for HP. 317 x 0.15 = 47.55 = 475.5 extra HP using your current stamina If you add a 50 stamina off hand (noticed you lack a off hand, using a "of stamina" green to test) then 367 x 0.15 = 55.05 (modified stamina) + 50 (stamina from off hand) = 105.05 = 1050.5 extra HP from 50 more stamina and demonic embrace with 50 extra stamina. you'll have ~8.5k in pure pve (fsw, spellstrike, ...) equip.... with max +damage thats not much but in heroic/raid you are not supposed to take damage... (we all know how it works...  )i think you should get the vindicator [silk] bracers/neck, gladiator spellblade/staff, and you'll be fine... you have a few mage pieces in your equip anyway... all those +int with 0 stam (neck, back, wrist, ring)... get rid of those |

8k HP is fine at kara/GL/Mag levels Even at TK/SSC levels im fine with 8k HP ( raid buffed you should have 10K + HP) but some of my guidies are worried about being 1-2 shot and actually wear PvP gear for TK. I myself am fine with 8k HP in pve, the only time i swap out for pvp gear in a pve environment is during the final four trash pulls just before VR. Those demons can 1-2 hit me while im banishing them. I most definately dont wan + sta gems/chants on my pve gear. Every single possible slot is reserved for + damage or + hit gems/chants -edit- On review i see you have 6.4k HP. Actually, i do think that is too low. Prob has to do with your spec, i see you dont have the talent from demonlogy that boosts your HP by 15% ( forgot the talent name for a moment) Last edited by gankmetoday; March 18, 2008 at 06:52 AM.. |

Pick up demonic embrace, and your rings have close to no stamina on them. You can get a good deal of life just from those 2 slots. And missing your off hand item (blade of wiz has no stamina as well) which can boost your stamina a good bit. You can pick up a green "of stamina" off hand in the AH for 10g. It would bump up your life a good 300+. |

thanks for the advise on gear. Ya.. looking for better gear in certain slots. i'll probably go sl/sl for some pvp action.. that should boost my stam. and having some items with stam.. i have a ring with +46 or so.. ya at this stage.. i just need more health and a few peices until i can get into some raids.. thanks .. i figured something was missing and just based on working on the best gear i could get/afford.. thought something was amiss.. lol../bow and thanks again! edit: the rings were from when i was leveling.. more damage, ect.. same with neck.. working on the list as provided by canidainpimp.. so i'll toss some stuff in those slots until i can get better.. /bow Last edited by Pocion; March 18, 2008 at 03:04 PM.. |
