Quag's Eye vs Xi'ris Gift (0/21/40 Shadow)
I'm curious to know which would do more DPS with my gear? The Quag's Eye with spell damage and occasional spell haste? Or the Xi'ris Gift with 1%+ spell critical and a use effect of 150 spell damage for approx 8 seconds? Any advice would be appreciated! |

How tough is it to farm this Quag's Eye? I ask because I just recently picked up Blade of Wizardy which essenstially has the same sort of haste buff to it. The Combination of the two would be awesome together. Not sure that the stats are but it seems to fire off about 20% of time which is huge. |

I'm no gear expert but I'd kinda think that if you had a good amount of spell haste, it would benefit you more often than crit since it would be more sustained than the spikey nature of crit. Having said that.. if you had a lower amount of haste.. it might get lost in the noise and not really do much for you where crit may give you more even though it's "spikey". Just my thoughts but I'm sure a real gear expert will be around to correct me soon enough

Thanks for linking that doog. it's worth noting though, that the quag's eye actually scales pretty well since it's a haste proc. So if you have exceptional gear it will be valued much higher than you see on that list. |

A bit different for me as I'm affliction but I don't really notice the effect of Quag's Eye that much - but then I don't equip it for raiding as I need my Bloodgem. For my destro plans I certainly plan to get rid of the Eye though, to replace with Xiri's Gift. |

I'm pretty sure that Quag's Eye is better than Xiri's Gift for ANY warlock spec. |

Yeah eye>gift for any spec. Haste is also the king stat for Destro when your raid buffed SDMG is > 1400-1450 (way more dps point for point than crit). Remember this includes Flasks/pots/food/Fel armour and Wrath of air if you know you are getting a shammy, so not hard at all really. |

Im in end game gear and on eredar twins in sunwell atm. Ive done extensive Dr Boom tests and researched thoroughly on numerous in game trinkets for destro locks. I can safely say that illidan trinket is hands down winner for dps Next is hex shrunken head trinket Coming in 3rd place is one of 2 trinkets Either - 1) Darkmoon card crusade 2) Quagmirrans eye In a flat out nuke spam bolt boss (brutalis, teron, winterchill), darkmoon is better when and only when you can keep the +damage buff up 100% In a fight where its a mixture of spamming bolts and then moving quag's eye is 3rd best trinket in game for raid encounter. In Bg's, 5 mans and grinding, other trinkets are better (eg icon of silver crescent). If you look my armoury, you see im normally using quags eye (i dont have illidan trink yet).
