Is my gear good enough? Be Imba!
If in doubt, check out this character auditor. http://be.imba.hu/ Make sure you have the most updated adobe flash player (just in case). I used it, and found I had a few deficiencies (one I knew of). Props to CanadianPimp. I used your guide, got some sweet gear, and according to this auditor I'm ready for SSC.

Be Imba Anyone ever run their ... Merged with existing thread
http://be.imba.hu/ Stumbled upon this one day and i've never been happier. Rates your gear along with a score and tips and hints about gearing/geming/enchants/talents etc and shows you where you can either perform well or get gear up grades in the various raids. You can also do entire guild audits up to 40 people. It only ranks 70's as it's aimed for raiding upgrades. According to it i have a 216 ranking enough to be able to hold my own in Black Temple. I don't have the experience though. Just started up in a raiding guild and have only been up to Maiden in Kara |

I have used it as well. I think it is a pretty good tool. Not sure how accurate it is to be honest, says my mage is ready for BT and would perform well and I know better than that. So I prety used it as a "Guide" not the word of truth. |

Re: Be Imba Anyone ever run their character through this ranking site?
Be Imba is not perfect. The advice it gives on gemming/enchants are pretty good. Where it fails is in predicting where a person will perform. The underlying algorithms are based on item-level. What I have found is players in pvp/honor epics will rate quite well on their graph. That said, PvP gear is not ideal in PvE. One of the locks in my guild was all PvP gear and imba said late TK. She threw a whopping 285dps in gruuls and was benched until she can get her raid dps up. As a raid leader, I still use it to identify whether a person is dedicated or not to improving their toon in light of not having WWS or Recount on them. If you check me, I am missing enchants still, since I just got some new gear, and am low on spell hit. My druid "can't be improved" according to imba but its not ready for T5. Great site, just don't rely on it by itself. |

Re: Be Imba Anyone ever run their character through this ranking site?
Have to agree that is CAN be a useful site, if used in conjunction with general knowledge on the class, though the rating system is somewhat flawed for the reasons listed above. The thing is, a warlock could wear all priest gear, and if enchanted for a warlock, it would say that they are ready for things they are not. The thing I like best about it is the warnings on Hit cap, expertise, defense and whatnot and the recommendations on enchants. |

Yah, I have been using Imba for a couple months now, even have it linked in my profile (tho it says Blizzard Armory). Use it often to check out new locks added to the guild as well as keep track of current lock gear progression in the guild. -Oli |
