Gemming issues
I've been searching around but havent found the correct answer I've been looking for and I'm not a big fan of the Warlock spreadsheet, always preferred getting advice from other people instead of something programmed. The World of Warcraft Armory Now, I'm looking at re-gemming all of my gear for optimum DPS. At the moment most of my gems are Reckless Pyrestone with the odd occasion of Potent and a couple blue gems. I've seen a few of my fellow warlocks with Runed Crimson instead and have always wondered why they have those and if they actually give increases in DPS. Any advice from anyone? |

Re: Gemming issues
Simply put, the difference is marginal but generally at that level of gearing haste IS a better dps increase. There's no two ways about - the maths in the spreadsheet is sound and has been proven accurate...if haste is worth more than 1dmg (1dmg is always worth 1dmg) then its more beneficial to stack it. I think a lot of people gemming pure +damage simply don't take the time to consider their gear, or may have fallen into the habit of doing so and never wondered if it was worth changing. For you the only gem I could change is that with +crit on it
