What to use for my main hand?

I have HORRIBLE luck on main hands. I am still using then Continuum Blade. I have been saving my badges for the badge blade and I am about 44 shy still. I have been using Canadian Pimps guide for my lock. Tonight we are moving onto Leo and according to the guide I should go with the badge blade over Leo's, but as with everything that is all dependent on gear and stats. Can someone give me some advice on this? Thanks

Run H magisters a few times. The haste blade in there isn't too bad and seems to have a good drop rate. Along with the chance of a few other nice upgrades and using the "enslave uber-powerful succy" trick for the last two boss encounters the instance is a breeze. (CoS it first though otherwise the enslave won't last long enough. And make sure the healer keeps it up.)

Run/PUG some ZA runs to get a better weapon imo. The badge blade is fine however you have two fairly crappy crit trinkets that you need to look at replacing this will drop your crit below the 20% TT. If you can get leo's blade cheap grab it otherwise ZA all the way even if it has to be in a pug there are a lot of upgrades in there for you hood, trinket, and weapon being the biggest ones. Neck and haste cloak are also great pieces for endgame slots when hit is less of a problem.

If you have moderate SSC progress, your guild should be running SSC, there's a nice staff from timer loot and a couple of tasty caster weapons in ZA that far outstrip the continuum blade. We had the first 3 bosses down before magtheriadon. Quite possibly we cleared it, I'm not 100% sure. I know we only downed lurker in T5 instaces before zul jin anyway.

Personally I honour ground the S1 after 4 months of kara farming. Won the mindblade 3 weeks later and then zul jin's blade a month and a half after that.

If you do buy the badge blade everything else will drop. But either way if you aren't in ZA go there. After farming it and getting badge loot, we killed rage winterchill while we only had 1/5SSC and 1/5 TK.

There isn't much difference between the Fang and Badge blade. If you get the Fang it means you can spend badges on other upgrades. The best thing you can do and guarantee yourself an upgrade is to farm AV for the 25k honor you need for the Merciless Gladiator's Spellblade http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32053. It is an amazing blade considering how easy it is to get and you don't have to count on lucky rolls, drops, etc. It's yours with a very little effort. Even if you hate pvp just go get your *** kicked for a week and then never look back.

AV weekend starts today and you can really grind some honor when that happens. If you have few other commitments (wife/kids) then the spellblade could easily be yours by the end of the weekend.

It costs 25200 Honor and 20 Eye of the Storm Marks of Honor.

Depending on your OH what you could do is the same as me.

My guild runs Mh/BT and ZA while we still try to kill vashj and kale'thas. I picked up the merciless gladiators staff untill i can get the hex balde from ZA and the Off-hand from hyjal

As the staff is a HUGE stat stick with loads of spell hit and crit on which does mean you can use other gear and gain more crit and damage from gear you would have had be gettin hit from instead.

Yeah, get the Merciless Gladiator's Spellblade and spend your badges on other stuff like the badge trinket.

The Scryer's Blade of Focus has more pure damage, but the PvP dagger has 15 spell hit - meaning you can swap out 2 of your Great Dawnstones for damage gems. If you factor in the extra 18 damage you'll get from that, the Merc Spellblade is only 4 damage behind the badge weapon.

Thanks guys. Trust me. I wish I could get Wubs cursed Hexblade out of ZA but we just are not pushing ZA content. We run it on Saturday night but we run it so late that after getting bear, eagle, and lynx down we may get a few attempts at Jan and we call it.

I had looked at the S2 blade and thought that badge blade would work out better for me but can't seem to remember why right this sec. I may just try and get it done.

On a off note. I am using the crap trinkets when no boomkin as pointed out my crit sucks without them, but with a boomkin I use the blessing deck and Icon.

so much depends on yer gear/specc/stats and what if you intending to pvp or duneon run or farm or duel. a good starter universal choice would be Bringer of Death it cost about 75g. Pvp'ers/duelers go with the Gladiator's battle staff pick it up cost is 27k honor points and many arena marks. me recommend the GLadiator gear because it'll carry you throughout the wow world
