Legwraps of Sweltering Flame
I'm having a trouble of getting a nice pants before T6.. according to maxdps.com, Legwraps of Sweltering Flame is the highest DPS pants to go before going to MH or BT even.. and a spellstrike hood or hood of hexing?
I'm getting confused in getting legwraps of sweltering flame or spellstrike pants to go, any inputs? ![]() |

Re: Legwraps of Sweltering Flame
maxdps doesn't personalize its dps ratings very well in my opinion. The badge legs are undoubtedly better if you aren't hit capped and if you are then you should get the crit badge legs if you have badges to spare. Also, hood of hexing no question.

Spellstrike pants are one of the best options until T6 content, badge pants are fine if you have excess hit. Hood of Hexing is the best head pre T6 imo. Don't use max dps use a real spreadsheet as the above poster said it sucks at personalizing gear decisions.

Re: Legwraps of Sweltering Flame
I would go with the ss set personally max dps has a hard time calculating the impact of set bonii. Check your own stats with a spreadsheet but that would be my guess with 192 hit already.

Re: Legwraps of Sweltering Flame
Since you are that close to the hit cap I would say the infusion is worth keeping atm. Perhaps there is another badge piece that would be more worthwhile? Although if you already have the hood of hexing the Corrupted Soulcloth Pantaloons might be the way to go.

Re: Legwraps of Sweltering Flame
On this subject, based on new patch..e.tc and future Wrath of the Lich King changes, since I am already at 176 hit rating +3% destro, should I got for Corrupted Pantaloons vs legwraps? I am also planning on switching out the spellstrike head for Annihilator holo-gogs.
This means I would need to get a replacement trinket for my alchemny sorcerors stone +63 damage. I am thinking one of the darkmoon cards, but not sure which. I hear madness is good, but I think the one I want is crusade. I was looking at the warlock spreadsheet and it says its better then the alchmists socerers stone (+63) damage but there is no base damage on the darkmoon card, only incremental +damage increase on each attack. Is that really better? Usually on general trash you only get 4 incinerates off which would only be +32 damage if I understand the card correctly. ugh...its confusing...So I guess my questions are: 1. Corrupted pantaloons > Legwraps (assuming I have 176 hit rating + 3% from cataclsym)? 2. darkmoon card > sorcerers alchemist stone? |
