How to gain more crit.

Well I have decent spell damage, and what not, but compared to other locks I am seriously low on critical. I am topping dps charts though. My dps is usually around 1350-1500 and with cod im going up to 1900-2000 dps for my raids. I know I can have higher dps if my crits were more stable.

Please tell me how to get more crit or what to change.

Link to my armory.
The World of Warcraft Armory

Btw my spell haste is 98.

Edit: My guild is only raiding Hyjal/BT and SWP trash...as for hyjal we are 5/5, and BT 4/9...im getting the t6 shoulders, and leggings just to let you know within a week or two =]

Re: How to gain more crit.

oh, I wish I had some of your stuff.
i wouldnt refer to myself as a good theorycrafter, so just talking about my experiences...

stable crits = more damage spikes = faster aggro generation = without a good tank = limited DPS...

generally one can say that every warlock having less than 25% crit on his destructionspells (shadow destro assumed) is wasting ISB-charges..could be compensated by a high-crit-low-damage-warlock like me, though.

..in theory.

There are several threads on this board telling you not to skill destro before T6-content (where it is said to really shine) -
concerning your Question > Take a look at my armory...there are a few pieces you could pick to get a decent crit-value...sacrificing a bit o' spell damage, though.

Edit No2: I'm pretty sure that you'd outdamage me any day/raid - I'm just sitting at 1200 DPS on Malacrass...no T5-content aviable to me.

Re: How to gain more crit.

The two easiest pieces for crit gear are going to be the pvp bracers/neck. I suggest maybe getting the badge crit pieces. Read the spell haste thread about stacking with the pieces you have. The neck isn't too bad but the shoulders are awful for t6 content. Right now I'd say any piece that has crit on it that you already have should go in place of the haste pieces you have (assuming similar itemization.)

Re: How to gain more crit.

Personally IMO, I would do two things.

Enchant your bracers and boots with Agility. You have no enchant on your bracers. As for loosing the stam from your boots, Not a biggie, that too can be regemmed or regeared

Then go about regemming or replacing gear with more crit rating or agility.

Couple quick things I see to increase crit are Tormented Demonsoul Robes and Xi'Ri's Gift. There's some badge gloves too I think.

Re: How to gain more crit.

Pieces that should be replaced:

1. Wand - 12 stam gem??? Go with either solarians wand if you can get it or the black stalk.

2. Boots - great boots for an aff lock the boots of blasting or badge boots are superior for a destro lock. (slippers of sea caller are ideal if you have access)

3. Gloves - 2.4 badge gloves are you best bet unless you can land the T6 gloves.

4. Trinket - sextant if you can get it. Otherwise a darkmoon card will do you until you get a skull

5. Shoulder(These are complete crap) - Worst case get a h-MgT shoulder, otherwise T6 is best case with T5 being a good 2nd place.

6. Bracers(Worst in BT :P) - go for the ones off rage they will last until sunwell.

Those pieces will increase your dps by a lot. The wand and shoulders would be my highest priority.

Re: How to gain more crit.

yeah about my wand...lol i used to pvp a lot and didnt really like the stats on the pvp wands so i just stacked stam into that wand being sl/sl..=]

well my guild doesnt run tk/ssc anymore and i really want the forgotten star wand in TK...as for bracers..yeah i know their the worst haha but that kinda caps my spell hit which is also important for pve...and as for my shoulders...HELL YEAH i do wish i got rid of them...their ugly as hell and their stats are pretty bad...><

Just curious about why your recommending Agility?
