Vitality or boars speed

Right now, i feel i have a decently solid set of gear, I'm going for the spellstrike pants and I'm looking for princes cloak, everything else at my level is a minor upgrade i believe. anyway, my topic is that right now i was thinking of enchanting my boots because, the two enchants i'm looking at are cheap, and the mats are easy to get. I originally was inclined to get boars speed because of the stamina and the speed of course, because moving faster is never a bad thing. i mean certain fights it would seem to be very good, like hydross, who my guild was working on downing. (of course, due to a small exodus of officers due to one idiot being an @#!*%*# we are now back to lootreaver, though we're improving again) anyway, back to the topic at hand
one Officer, the pally lead, who has helped me a lot with gear and gems, (telling me what to get and inviting me to heroics for badges, not giving me anything) suggested that instead of boars speed i should get vitality, in fact he was quite insistent, going so far as to joke about Gkicking me, which he has been known to do, then he usually re invites, but he's an odd guy.

I believe that 4Hp5 and 4Mp5 will not help very much, mainly because besides the enchant, that would be my only H/Mp5 on my gear, and stamina would be more useful in the long run.

I would appreciate any thoughts for or against this, I just want to hear others' opinions on this. he is a very persuasive person, and impossible to argue with, so I need to get all the facts first. (so I can at least explain Why i did what i did)

Well unless you already have the run speed meta do not ever undervalue the bonus you get from boar's speed. (Pallies don't care so much because they can take the ret talent for the same thing and they also need the mp5 more as well) You can live without it but it is certainly better than vitality. (btw the meta is the wrong choice for getting run speed unless you're being very cheap.)

4mp5 translates into one SB worth of mana every 525 seconds or 8 minutes and 9 seconds. One lifetap gives you several times more mana and isn't too hard for healers.

Can you tell us any reasons why he insisted on vitality instead of any other enchant?

Vitallity translates to a theorycrafted 1dps ahead of Boars speed in a fight long enough to make a difference (lol)....In reality, the extra stamina and movement increase is worth far more than that so its simple - Boars Speed > Vitality.

Another vote for Boar's Speed here. The utility of the speed boost far outweighs the theoretical 1 DPS boost.

you're not a mage... or hunter... or spriest... or a healer... the value of mp5 is bleh for a warlock... go boar speed

If you're going to have any mp5 on your gear, it better be from the Hexblade from Za
Go Boar's Speed!
Besides, the extra speed will be nice when you can't be mounted.

Boar's speed without a shadow of a doubt.

I have probably lost count of the number of times when moving just that little bit faster helps - out of AoE, running to tanks (an important lock talent after Shatter used), running away from Supremus etc. etc. that percentage really helps :-)

And don't forget the tiger story ....

Two guys in jungle break into a clearing and there is a starving tiger on the other side that spots them and starts stalking towards them ....

Guy 1 bends down and puts on his trainers.
Guy 2 says "What are you doing, you'll never outrun him!"
Guy 1 says "No problem, I just have to run faster than you!"

Always nice when you can run from a wipe and other people get pawned because they are behind you :-)

Umm i disagree about getting in front of people. There are many times when you should just die ie lifetap and hellfire so no repair bill. That way the raid doesn't have to wait while you run all the way through ssc to get away from tidewalkers murlocs. Or there was this time in bt where a rogue pulled mobs all the way from gorefiend to the front because he didn't want to die. We were all pissed.

Boar's speed is invaluable to get out of aoe damage etc though.
