PVP vs PVE Gear
Just a quick question i want to throw out there, would it be better to always have item sets equip or would it be better to have 2 different sets for PVP and PVE.
The way im looking at it is, sets like the shadoweave set give 114+ shadow damage to all your spells, awesome ye it is but not so effective in boosting your attributes and armor. Where as i can get items that boost my character's attributes at a lower level, eg. Robes of Doan, Mantle of Doan. Now would it be better to keep item sets rather for PVP like battleground and arena where the extra bit of shadow damage could be of great significanse? |

Re: PVP vs PVE
get outfitter. get yourself a pve set, and get yourself a pvp set. you will die in 2 shots if you go into battlegrounds in the FSW set.

Re: PVP vs PVE
I found that at 40 your generally leveling too fast to worry about 2 sets. When you reach 70 then yes certainly have a PvP set to use any time your not inside an instance.

Re: PVP vs PVE
Generally yes, but I dont, im leveling up with a mage and we do battlegrounds and arena together, so I do need a strong PVP set thats why i would settle for SW.
The question i am asking is it better to keep wearing the PVP set outside of bg and arena or just use another set of random items? |

Re: PVP vs PVE
Your both on a PvP server therefore you have a rather large target on you when ever your anywhere. I have a raid set thats always in my bags but i wear pvp gear at ALL other times.

The times I get ganked do exist, but pretty rare and I can always come back PVP geared when I'm alive again. I agree on the PVP gear though for PVP. They need to be separate sets as much as possible. Outfitter FTW. Im always a little skeptical of people who think PVP servers are really that much harder to level on, do quests etc than PVP servers. I've found it to be less dramatically different than some would think barring a few rare occasions. |
