Canadianpimp's gearing guide gone?

Hey guys,

I used to use Canadianpimp's gearing guide a lot. Like every raid I'd alt-tab out and check where some loot that dropped off a boss ranked...

And now, I go to his guide, click on one of the links to a gear slot, and it just takes me to Forum homepage.

Is there something wrong with the guide? I had a few friends check it out, and it's not working for them either.

Can anyone help?

The information is all there, it just looks like the move to the new library section may have broken the shortcuts from the index. I'm pretty sure Akasha's aware of it, it just needs to reach the top of her "to do" list.

In the meantime I guess you'll just have to use the old-fashioned way of scrolling down through the guide to get to the section you want

Actually same thing happens with all the guides I've tried to view....back to the forum main page .....nothing to scroll because no guide. It's a little strange, but that busy lady,Akasha, will fix it soon I'm sure.

the URL of the actual guide has changed... therefore all URL within the guide has changed...

Authors will have to go to their guides and relink everything that points internally to the now dead library forum

The Library was only changed the other day, and I've been busy working on it ever since. All the information is still there, the guide is still the same, its just the internal links within the guide that are no longer pointing to the correct location. That will be amended tonight if someone stays asleep...

I think what he was referring to is that since the guide is in a new location all outside links that were pointing to the guide (including one's that I have added in my guild forums) are now broken because they point to a page that does not exist. Seems like it might be worth putting in a redirect page or something for all direct links to that page so that you don't break the thousands of links that no doubt pointed to c-pimps guides.

Hmm, after re-reading it doesn't seem like that's what the OP was saying but it is indeed a problem.

Nevermind, I've redirected the Search Engine Optimization'd link, where as most people will have the showthread.php link... I can't redirect from a showthread link...

There is a new notice up in the Library page informing people of this however.
