Chaotic Skyflare Diamond - 9% Crit damage?
Ok, so as I understand it, Chaotic Skyflare Diamond adds 3% more damage to your critical strikes, but with Rune, it adds 9%? I know this was true in BC, but is it working the same way in Wrath? I did some testing on the dummies in SW, and I just didn't see an increase with this meta activated. I'm not sure if it's some kind of bug on dummies or not. |

In BC, the math worked out to where with Ruin, you would get 209% crit damage. This should still be true, but perhaps Ruin being a 5 point talent now changes that. Found the math from the Chaotic Skyfire Diamond - Item - World of Warcraft page from Wowhead: 150% x 1.03 = 154.5% (Total damage from a crit with this gem but without ruin) 154.5% - 100% = 54.5% (Bonus damage from a crit with this gem but without ruin) 54.5% X 2 = 109% (bonus damage with ruin and gem) 100%+109% = 209% (damage done by a critical with gem and ruin) The math should still work out with the Wrath of the Lich King one
