If you would take a look and make sure i'm going in the right http://www.quickarmory.com/?n=tiras&r=Malorne. I went ahead and speced into supression to meet the hit cap and changed the gems etc.

I run an addon called RatingBuster which calculates the +/- differences of stats for gear on the fly. It also takes into account things like Fel Armor. Very nice addon for doing gear comparison. 've been operating under the assumption that 4 pieces of T8/8.5 trump all other gear configurations. If I remember correctly, the set bonuses come to 300 dps, and no other gear configuration can surpass the dps granted by the set bonuses. Is this still the case? Case in point, Collar of the Wyrmhunter - superior to T8/8.5, but the tier piece trumps the Collar of Wyrmhunter when a tier bonus results from equipping the tier piece. Can anyone confirm?

that's right, it's better to gem haste. the only gem for crit is meta gem +3% crit damage, and that's a must-have

very true.... 4 piece set > Collar of Wyrmhunter.... actually got 4 piece set last night and after about 8 runs on training dummy dps ranged from 250 to 300dps better with the set bonus. Thinkif you replace a piece of tier gear the hands should be the piece to replace.... opinions or facts on this???
