Minimum affliction reqs for WotLK heroics?
I looked through the Library and I could not find an answer to this question: what would be the minimum gear requirements for an affliction lock in heroics? For example: right now I have 1521 spell power (with fel armor), approx 299 hit ( have Suppression), and 8.62% crit. I can get 359 hit without buffs if I drop to approx. 1478 spell power. As long as you're not in a bunch of greens, you should be fine. Nothing annoys me more when people are still in level 73-74 greens at level 80 when good blues are incredibly easy to obtain from quests. |

I'm Still sporting some greens. The trouble is they have gem slots and with enchants they have pushed me past the hit cap. I am not the DPS king yet but I hold my own enough that healers dont need to keep their eye on me. I replace the greens as soon as soon as I can, but they do not keep me from running heroics, in fact I have yet to run any dungeon in Normal mode :p Mind you some elitist might cry and quit the PUG because you are in greens but who cares, you are learning and gearing up! So while I don my fire resist gear go have some fun and runs some Heroics  Nevermind the Bullocks! lol

Also, keep in mind that the hit cap for heroics is 158. 299 is way over-capped, as long as you are talking about 5-man heroics. So you may be able to switch out some of that hit gear for gear with more spell power, although that seems fine to start with as well. When you run 10 or 25 man raids, switch it back in to try to get capped for those raids, but for heroics, just make it to 158. I would also suggest looking at the hit guide. Good luck! |

I think a good plan of action for a fresh 80 would be to find all the blues that drop out of the normal instances and then run those dungeons until they drop. Then once you do, hit the Heroics. Though... I would think you could get some better geared guildies to run you through Hero Nexus for the Cleric's Linen Shoes and Gloves of Glistening Runes as well as the wands and trinkets that drop there and in Heroic UK That said, you're more than geared to run Heros, IMO. |

I was half blue, half green when i entered. Of course I was going with guildies, one of which pulled me along was the Ele shammy I recently beat on Patchwerk who was full epic'd taking me along. |
