hit capped and still missing
So i've got this really annoying problem, with my gear alone im at 14.45% hit. now with Cataclysm that should be 17.45% hit with Destruction spells. over the hit cap, but i still miss a few Immolates here and there. wierd thing is though, Curse of Agony being shadow, i never miss with a Curse of Agony. heres a link to my armory so you can see for yourself The World of Warcraft Armory |

Ok im under the impression either my dot timer is bugged or immolate is as im hit capped with just gear alone and i have 2 points in both suppression and cataclysm anyway, so what timer are you using if any? |

I have had the same problem and cant figure it out. With my hit food and shammie I only miss with immolate. Has anyone else had the same issue or know why immolate is missing or could it be an addon issue? |

Its b/c a more powerful version is currently already ticking... Its technically not a bug, just annoying thing you need to adjust with your rotation.. I ALWASy try to let me immo fall off for a sec, rather than having to waste time and mana on a recast.. |

Immolate bugs out if you refresh it right before/after it expires on the mob. You get the direct damage, but the dot doesnt apply. |

Help - Hit capped and immolate is being resisted/miss a lot
Hi everyone, please some guide if I ma doing something wrong or if maybe is just an UI bug. little background, I've been playing a lock since WoW was release, I only have time for 1 toon, so my lock is no only my main but my only 80, I have played all the patches, changes, nerfs and buff Blizz have put in place in the last few years. Now I am descent geared, 4/5 T7.5 - 1800 based SP (without armor or buffs), I am hit capped (actually over the CAp atm +18%) and about 29% crit Spec: Meta/ruin When i am doing my rotation I notice that immolate get resisted/miss a lot when I say a lot this will happend about 3 out 5 times that i cast it. Have anyone seen this? Am i doing something wrong? is there a talent or trinket, spell or promt that is doing this? Thanks in advanced |

Do you use recount or another damage meter? At the end of the fight, look at your damage, and look at immolate. If you really miss that much you should see the statitstics stating the % of hits, crits and misses. I've looked you up on armory, with 480 hit it's IMPOSSIBLE to miss. Maybe it's something else that misses? Maybe your felguard? PS. are you talking about bosses/pve content or players in bg's/arenas? |

If you have trinkets proc'd or somethin along those lines and cast Immolate and as it's going down recast it before it's completely done, aka Clipping it, then the Direct Damage portion of Immolate will hit, but the DoT effect won't stick, therefore making it seem as if Immo completely missed when it didn't. You'll get the more powerful spell message, or you should. |
