Re: Help - Hit capped and immolate is being resisted/miss a lot

It's not a bug, it's just that there is a more poweful immolate DoT still on the target.

Don't clip your dots. :p

Re: hit capped and still missing

So should I wait for immolate to fall off then apply. I notice more and more my immolate hitting but the dot missing. My wws report has me at not missing. So should I let haunt, unstable affliction fall off before I start my rotation again or keep my rotation the same and cast a shadow bolt after haunt, unstable affliction. And if the dot misses should i recast immolate or just continue with my rotation. Thanks in advance

Re: hit capped and still missing

Your rotation isnt going to remain how it began.. Over time, b/c haunt has a different lifespawn than UA/immo, your rotation is going to require adjusting "on the fly" in order to refresh different dots and spells in the most effective fashion.

At first this is frustuating, but it gets to be second nature overtime...

In b/w them, you cast SB or lifetap if you have a chance and can manage to squeeze one in b/4 having to recast, but generally, you dont let anything fall off intentionally in order to preserve a "neat and tidy" rotation.

The only time I let something fall off is during heroism, and thats only b/c I am trying to squeeze any extra SB's in if I can. And even then, the DOt isnt off for more than a second.

Bottom line is you never stop casting...

Re: hit capped and still missing

As Haunt is not actually a DoT, you will never see the "more powerful spell" error, and as such, never let it fall off. It simply provides a static debuff. Immolate, UA, etc. should fall off before recast, to avoid clipping.
