Finally dropped for me. I've been raiding 25 man Ulduar and 10 man Ulduar with my guild since it was released. I've been running around with crappy trinkets for months...

it finally drops and I lose a roll to a TRIAL RESTO SHAMAN?

TRIAL?
RESTO SHAMAN?

How about main raider dps priority here?

/end rant

well if in your guild the trial or raider tag count in a 10 man run must be a raider pick but if not then every single caster can roll on it

Sorry to hear that, the trinket has a huge drop rate for us. =)

We let trialists roll or bid on anything, you run the risk of them taking the loot then leaving but meh, it's only a game and I like to think the best of people.

Not sure how much resto shamen get from the crit part of that trinket but our pallys and disc priest would like it I'm sure. I've seen it drop 3 times and have terrible luck with rolls. The one time I did do an imba roll and actually win it I ended up passing because I'd won something earlier that night. Anyway, I have the SUndial and Scale of Fates to keep me going. Still waiting on that IotDS

Re: Eye of the Broodmother

My personal solution to avoid this:
Don't roll on loot.

Use a dkp system or let the gm/class officer decide who should receive the loot.
A lot of people, doesn't take/have the time to know which stats is good for their class. So delegation to class officer is the best you can do in a trusted environment.

thats what we do. Dkp for loot and trials have a chance to roll on items if raiders pass.

We include trials in out DKP system, along with randoms. They get a number of points to start with (at the same time the minimum price of an item) so they can get something even the first run they come along, but points for kills are only awarded at the end of the night, so if they want more loot they have to come along again (and eventually be recruited). I think this system is pretty fair, because I think it's better to give an item to a player who might come again than to shard it (and we have enough shards anyway), but long-term raiders always have more points than the randoms so they get contested loot anyway.

Re: Eye of the Broodmother

We still use the roll system but out Raid Leader will decide who an item is better for. Unless that person has already won something than even if that person rolls they won't be first in line for it. Sometimes it suks but for the most part it is ok.

I wish we would use another system but that is what happens when you run with a mish mash of guilds and not your own. I think once my guild gets up there than we will have to think of different loot rules.

Re: Eye of the Broodmother

that trinket sucks anyway.. so dont be too disapointed. ya sure it ads a constant 250 spell damage.. but several others proc alot more and offer much higher dps.
